Although she was still uncertain, Ana decided to trust Madge. It wasn't as if she had a choice of tutors to pick from.

"Okay. I'll try again." She picked up the mana stone and held it between her palms.

"Think about how you felt when you channeled your energy back then. Calm your heart first and go to your happy place. Feel that energy as it seeps through you, find it's source and try to pull more of it."

Ana closed her eyes, her mind going back to the swing on the beach. She thought about her conversation with Khai on their first day there.

She resurfaced one memory at a time – her heart feeling lighter as she confessed her apprehensions to Khai, the feeling of elation that hit her when he accepted her without a second thought, his expression when she professed her love to him, the warmth in her heart when she heard him say he loved her back, every memory flooded through her, invigorating her spirit.
