“Are you sure you don’t want to give this some time?” Miguel asked for only my ears to hear.

It had only been three days since the death of Freddy. Since the events of the gathering room. Since I had found out that there were agents planted in Clans working as spies for the French Alpha Theo. Three days of rest with my mate had left me feeling rested, and ready for retribution.

“I’m sure,” I said confidently to my Beta.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea she’s here,” Miguel said looking at Adel.

“Your concern is noted, Miguel. But I’m not going anywhere,” my mate responded to Miguel as she sat straight in the wooden chair next to me.
