*The Black Feather Tavern*
I stood barefoot at the kitchenette, a towel wrapped around my waist, as I made breakfast on the small stove there. Rilian was standing just behind me with his arms wrapped around my waist, so close I could feel the heat of his breath against my neck.
"Smells good," said Rilian, nuzzling into my hair.
He was not talking about breakfast.
"Stop sniffing me, you pervert," I teased, batting my hand at him.
Rilian dodged, catching my wrist and spinning me in one smooth motion so I was face to face with him, backed up against the kitchen counter.
"No way," said Rilian, grinning at me, "not when you're such a tasty little snack…."
He leaned in, locking me against the kitchen counter as his lips chased mine, finally locking me into a kiss. I could feel him grinning against my lips, and it was all I could do not to melt into butter right there in his arms. I sighed contently, reaching up to wrap around his neck when the front door clicked open.
