*Avari Tower*
It was not a room. Rilian took me down to the fifteenth floor, where rows of doors lined another marble hallway, each uniquely numbered. I had never seen apartments before, so when Rilian took me to my door, I was shocked.
"This is huge!" I gasped as soon as we stepped through the door.
"Yeah, I know it's not one of the bigger ones," said Rilian, who thought I was being sarcastic, "but I didn't want to draw too much attention to you."
In my opinion, the room was massive. It had high ceilings and a bedroom loft overseeing the open kitchen and living area. The furnishings were pale, with a white leather sofa and an armchair cradled around an electric fireplace.
My jaw dropped looking around the space, and I had never seen anything like it. Everything was so clean and pale, even the floors were a light grey, and floor-to-ceiling windows took up the entire far-end wall overlooking the city's twinkling lights below.
