Bab 30: Chapter 30

Although she had caught glimpses of this man Victoria was talking about, it was difficult to associate "sweet" with the rough man she'd spent the last day with.

Victoria's perfect mouth twisted wryly.

"I do realize he can be an acquired taste, but he truly is a sweet man."

"I believe you," Isla told her, although she was still laughing inside.

She didn't think Kelly would appreciate being called sweet.

Victoria laughed herself and grabbed Isla's hand to bring her upstairs.

"Come on, then. I'll give you something that doesn't fit me anymore. The only thing I've been able to wear for the past few months are dresses."

She shook her head and smoothed a hand over her round belly.

"Although I wouldn't trade it for anything."

Isla smiled at her, not quite sure how to respond.
