Bab 87: the symphony of a god.

A hurricane of Flame and Deepshadow roared in the confines of the hallway.

Sheetrock tore off in jagged junks of powder and plaster, while timber furniture was shredded into inch-long splinters. A maelstrom of smoky darkness and blazing fire whirled through the hallway, carving away the battlefield until Lynn and Damian were fighting on nothing but bare concrete.

Sweat poured down Lynn's brow as she narrowly avoided Damian's strikes. 

He attacked wildly, a wicked smile carved across his face, cackling as he darted under blade, using his heretical Blessings to drive her back. With her longsword, she deflected the strikes from his Deep-born blade, shadow slamming into Flame and fizzling out with a screech.

Damian lunged for her throat and she threw up an Angelic Shield, but his strength with the Flame easily overpowered her own conviction. The interlocked feathers shattered beneath the superior force, coming apart in a flurry of embers.
