Models are often seen as a type of visual aid that helps customers imagine what they would look like or how they would feel if they were to purchase and wear the product being advertised. It's kind of like having a statue in a weapon store wearing armour, but with the added benefit of being able to see how the clothing or product looks on a real person, and how it might move or look in different lighting conditions.
