Chapter 42: Bustin' Out
Hitomi opens her visor and turns to the villains one by one! Stone quickly covering their forms while their comrades cry out in alarm!
"Cover your eyes!!" One of the smarter Villains yells to his friends while covering his own eyes, barely follow his words... The vast majority becoming nothing but angry lawn decorations
Ojiro stares in awe "Since when could you do that Sekizō!?" Hitomi stumbles "Sekizō...!?"
"I'm fine I'm fine...!" She holds her head as a powerful headache pounds from inside 'Not again...!'
"You don't look fine..." He glances around at the, luckily, four remaining villains
"Get them before she recovers!!" The Villains charge forward and Ojiro takes defensive stance
Hitomi grits her teeth "You get two I get two...?"
"If you can handle it?" Ojiro clenches his raised fists
"I..." 'This is the second time I've had a pounding headache after using my Quirk... I've never used it on this many people before...' her hand twitches towards her visor 'If it gets worse it'll make fighting harder...' she grips her sai 'I can't risk that yet.' "I can handle it"
The two students rush forward to meet the villains! Hitomi focuses on two guys with jagged pointy heads
"Turn our friends back!" One guy's chest starts glowing bright with heat and Hitomi sees the glow traveling up and building in his throat as he runs
"We're gonna kill you!" The other one, who seems bigger than the first, charges and tries to grab her in a big bear hug
'Heat starting in the chest and going up the throat.' she jumps to the side to avoid the big guy's charge 'Most likely breathing fire!' she charges the suspected fire breather, trying to stop him from launching his attack But... She's too late.
He grins and his throat rapidly bulges before "Bleh!!" He spits a large fast moving glob of lava straight at her! "Spicy!!"
"Shit!" She dives to the side to avoid it as it sails past and hits the bigger guy!
Hitomi rolls into a crouch "You just hit your friend!" from the crouch she launches forward towards the lava spitter
He pulls a knife from his hip "He'll be fine!" He slashes at her from above! She slides to the side to avoid the slash and grabs his wrist "What the-!?" She uses her momentum to yank his arm painfully wide and and straight behind him as three snakes lash out and bite into it!
"Gaaaah!!! You bitch!!" He tries to kick back at her like a horse but he can't see her so he misses
"Bitch again?" She kicks the back of his knee, making him kneel "Be more original" She pulls his arm back almost breaking it! Causing the guy to yell out in pain! A yell that starts quickly going silent as a paralytic venom starts taking effect
"Let him go!!" The big guy charges back at her, his hands harmlessly coated in the lava he was hit with
'Is he heatproof!? That's hacks!' Hitomi let's the lava guy go and quickly steps back, The lava guy however stays as she was holding him, it's is quite the funny pose with his arm stretched straight out behind him
"Huh? What's the matter with you?" The big guy stops at the lava guy and lightly kicks his side "Move!"
The lava guy does move... As he slowly tips to the side from the kick and falls face down, stuck in an even funnier pose now
The big guy clenches his coated fists and growls! He turns to Hitomi "What did you do to him you Bi-!?" A chunk of rubble from Hitomi smashes him in the face!
"Ahhhhh!!!! My face...!!!!" He clutches his now bleeding face and ends up covering it in lava and somewhat gluing his hands to his face "Mmmm!!!!"
Hitomi runs up to him and kicks him HARD between the legs! "Bitch again!? C'mon!"
"Mmmmm...!!!!" The big guy drops to his knees... His hands slowly peel off his face and immediately clutch his crotch "W-why...?" He whimpers
"Because you're unoriginal." She triggers her shield and whacks him around the head with it! He falls to the ground and she crouches down, letting a snake bite his neck
She stands up and sighs... Turning to check on Ojiro she sees he's looking at her and somewhat shielding his own croch
"Oh grow up! I'm not gonna cripple your lineage" she notes the two other unconscious Villains on the ground so she sheathes her one sai she had out "You ok?"
"Y-yeah, my guys were weaker than yours" he clears his throat and rights his posture "So... What's a girl like you doing in a place like this...? Ha ha..." He scratches the back of his head
"Oh y'know, met a Sus cloud guy and the next thing I know everything's gone to hell" she gestures around at all the fire
He chuckles "Yeah... You can say that again..." He sighs and looks around "Is it just you...?"
"No no, Toru's also around" she looks around but can't see her... "Somewhere...?" She frowns and cups her hands around her mouth "Toru!?!"
Ojiro rushes over! "Shhhh shhh!! Are you crazy there are Villains around here...!"
"Well I've lost Toru!" She looks around getting more worried by the second 'I thought she'd stay close! Where is she...!?'
"Guys! Guuuuys!" They both turn to the voice, Hitomi seeing Toru jogging towards them... Still very much naked
'Oh lord...' Hitomi burns the sight into her memory as much as possible 'I am being tested!'
Ojiro frowns "Hagakure? Is that you?"
"Yeah it's me! And I've found something!" She goes up to Hitomi and grips her hands "I've found our ticket out if here"
"O-oh yeah!? Yes? W-what have you found?" She gulps and tries to keep all her focus on Toru's face
"Spoilers! I wanna show you" she pulls Hitomi by the hand "C'mon! Ojiro you too"
Hitomi chuckles and happily follows Toru... A bewildered Ojiro follows behind them
Toru leads them a few buildings away to reveal her find "Ta daaaaa!"
Ojiro stares "I-Is that...?"
Hitomi grins and rubs her hands together "It really is"
Ojiro turns to where he thinks Toru is, he's a little off "Does it run?"
"Heck yeah it runs!" She side steps to match where he's facing "It was just sat here, fits the theme of the fire zone right?"
"True... And that's all well and good... But can either of you two drive it? Because I can't" Ojiro folds his arms
Toru kinda droops at that... "No... No I can't either..."
"Well..." Hitomi raises a hand "I can" they both stare at her in shock!
"Y-you can? When did you learn that?" Ojiro chuckles at the unexpected turn
"Yeah Hitomi, when did you learn?" Toru tilts her head
"Eh... Let's just say I learned and leave it at that?" She chuckles awkwardly 'Aizawa said not to tell anyone soooo...'
Ojiro frowns "But You're too youn-"
Toru flicks his forehead! "Shh! I don't care how she knows, it's just great she does know!"
"Why thank you very much" Hitomi turns to their new vehicle "Now let's go!" She jumps up to the cab of the soot covered Firetruck and gets inside
Ojiro tries again "Bu-!"
"I call shotgun!" Toru goes and climbs into the passenger side
Ojiro rolls his eyes "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth I suppose..." he climbs into the back seat of the cab, which has enough room for his tail if he sits sideways
Toru picks up a firefighter helmet off the floor of the cab and puts it on "Onwards to fresh air!" She points forward
"Seatbelts!" Hitomi fastens her own seatbelt, Toru doing the same and Ojiro managing it just barely
Hitomi grips the wheel 'Here we go...' she turns the key and the engine stutters and rumbles to life "Sweet! Wish this was electric not gas but beggers can't be choosers!"
"Wait! Sekizō you can't see very far right? Isn't it a bad idea you driving?" Ojiro leans between the two front seats
"You're in the back and Toru can cover her eyes" She triggers the wipers to try and get rid of some of the grime on the windshield "Toru keep your eyes covered ok?"
"Ok..." She holds her hand up to the side of her face like a horse blinder
Ojiro sits back and Hitomi opens her visor "Lady and Gentleman please keep arms, legs and tails within the vehicle at all times, thank you for riding with the Sekizō fire department"
She pulls away from the curb and starts driving down the street, avoiding potholes, burning debris and crashed vehicles 'Alright... Once we get to the exit, given UA's love of oversized doors, we should be able to drive out and head back to the USJ exit... I hope we're not leaving anyone here in the fire zone...'
They keep following the curve of the dome, luckily they don't run across any villains... But that's suspicious in itself, Hitomi and Toru keep their eyes peeled for any signs... And eventually
"There!!" Toru grips Hitomi's arm and points out the window!
Hitomi slams on the breaks and then slowly reverses with a Beeeep Beeeep Beeeep! "Where? What am I looking for?"
"There between those buildings!" Her pointing intensifies
Hitomi peers out of Toru's window and she indeed sees something... The first "EX-" of a giant exit sign across the dome wall "Good eyes Toru!" She grins and presses on the excellerateor then takes the next left and heads for the exit
"Hey guys...?" Ojiro speaks from the back seat "Isn't it strange that we've not met any villains?
"Yeah... Yeah it is strange..." Hitomi sighs "It'll be a blessing until it's not I guess..." She takes the next right and slams on the breaks! "Oh crap..."
"What is it?" Ojiro leans forward, making sure not to look at Hitomi "Oh crap..."
Ahead of them is the large exit door... With a large group of villains blocking the way and seemingly trying to weld the door shut, though they're only heating the entire door with their efforts...
Ojiro sits back and sighs in frustration "What are we gonna do now...?"
"Now...?" She grips the wheel and sighs... "I don't know..."
"Let's ram em!" Toru pumps her fists "Go right through!"
"That's crazy!" Ojiro runs a hand over his hair "What's gonna stop them from attacking us as we approach?"
Toru sighs... "Nothing I guess..."
Hitomi slowly pulls fully into the street and stares straight ahead at the door...
"Woah Woah what are you doing...!?" Ojiro grips the back of her seat
"We can't handle them all and they're blocking the entrance..." She taps the wheel with her thumb
"We can find another way out! There has to be one" he points forward at the guarded door "That, is suicide"
"I'm worried about our classmates... And Aizawa... Last we saw he wasn't in a good position..." She sighs... "If you don't wanna risk it I understand..."
Toru rests her hand on Hitomi's on the wheel... "I'm with you..."
Toru and a few snakes look back at Ojiro, subjecting him to heavy peer pressure... He sighs "Fine... If we die I'm blaming you"
"Well in that case" Hitomi rests her foot on the excellerateor "Let's ram these bastards!" She slams her foot down and the Firetruck lurches forwards and starts rapidly gaining speed towards the exit
The Villains hear the approaching engine and, to become more attention grabbing, Hitomi triggers the lights and sirens as she speeds towards them! They stare in frozen shock as the big red battering ram speeds towards them
Hitomi grins "Yeeeeee Haw!!" The Villains all scramble out the way of certain death as the truck punches straight through the heated door with a horrible screech of metal and the three students break out into the bright light of the USJ!
