Bab 20: The Ghoul Principle
Two days had gone by ever since Alucard and Catherine's 'little' rendezvous and many matters had come into place.
Alucard met his new company's board of directors and they acknowledged him as the new owner, without much of a choice... The company's name changed to Hermes' Bird Brewings.
This company had been in the Chinese stock market for a little while, with its shares stacking hitting rock bottom after the CEO, Ma Guanhui's last monthly report.
Alucard's first notorious action was to buy shares from retail stockholders (everyday people) and small hedge funds (public and private organisations) that were willing to sell out their shares due to its imminent crisis.
Fools.
In no time he became the chairman of the company with at least 35% of the total stocks of the company, Ma Guanhui being the second with 15%, he made sure to leave a big amount of shares open for selling, this was crucial.
Curiously, there are people are organisations that weren't willing to sell their shares despite its fall, it mattered not. He had already achieved his first phase.
Alucard spent his time talking with the company directive regarding his idea of bringing foreign talent. A notion that wasn't well accepted, but there was nothing that they could do about it.
To evade future issues, Alucard made sure to 'charm' every single head department to make sure they were willingly cooperating with his ideals.
His time was spent between Catherine and his nouveau company during these last days as he prepared for his first experiment.
Sheng Mingluo and Reng Shuang were prominent figures in the Chinese stock marketing stage, not necessarily by their net worth.
Sheng Mingluo's words could move entire company directives and Reng Shuang's contacts were dangerous top dogs, to say the least.
He had planned on using their identity to easily bring Hermes to the top once the company was working properly and brewing his new liquor brands.
For that, however. He still needed time, but that didn't stop him from running a few tests.
Looking through the internet, he located many abandoned or selling warehouses at the outskirts of Zhonghai, not too far from where his company was located, and that was precisely what he needed, the place needed to be within the range of his omnipresence.
He bought them for a total of ten million dollars, four of them all within his perimeter and under Reng Shuang's name, those places were the most important element of the Hellsing Organisation, but they had to be excluded from his identity, otherwise, it could bring issues later on if discovered, but maybe by then, he would own China.
Once again posing as Reng Shuang, he ordered teams of IOCalling internet service departments to have internet and LAN set up in these abandoned buildings, he wanted the fastest one there was, so groups of workers went to the four warehouses and finished the job in two days... By then, a lorry arrived at his mansion in Shanghai with three million smartphones, also from IOCalling, he received them with a smile and stored the hundreds of boxes inside his shadow, it was time to make the first test!
'Walking' back into one of the warehouses he bought, the place was totally desolated, but all services were working perfectly. Water, Gas, Ethernet etc... Apparently, it had been some kind of storage company that broke and their owners were compelled to sell everything to go abroad.
Taking out Reng Shuang's and Sheng Mingluo's phones he made a few calls spreading directives to the many contacts that either 'owed' them or had a deep business relationship with either of the two.
The directives were simple and were heeded by many prominent Chinese multi-millionaires and prominent clan members...
"Invest in shares of the newly formed company, Hermes' Bird Brewings." With this, the first phase and the most important was completed.
'Good Afternoon Love, how has your day been?~' His thoughts and plans were interrupted by Catherine's melodious voice in his head.
They sent thoughts to each other on a daily basis and most of his nights were spent in Buckingham Palace by now with some of them being spent in her villas when she felt like preparing him some poi- *cough* atomic gastronomy, that he very much enjoyed.
'Hi Catherine, I'm kind of busy right now and won't be able to contact you for a while, don't get scared if I don't answer... I'll get back to you once I'm finished.' He sent back, the next activity would require his whole attention.
'Oh, I see... just come back tonight please, I have something important to tell you~'
'... are you pregnant?' He asked tentatively, knowing fully well what women's 'important news' was all about...
'N-No! I'm not, it is not about that!' She sent back flustered!
'I see, I'll be back in the evening, my evening, your afternoon.' He sent back as the Queen only sent him a kiss.
Alucard breathed out a mouthful of cold air and focused, this was going to be by far one of the hardest things he'd ever tried, but not only would it work as great training for himself, but also, to this experiment.
Today he would reach the limits of his omnipresence.
His shadow spread forth, covering the totality of the room as his body disappeared, and his 'existence' concentrated in four particular places located within a range of ten kilometres.
The four warehouses. Loads of knowledge revered his mind, merging into an idea.
Millions of eyes opened in the darkness twisting and turning haywire as Alucard did something he hadn't done in a long time, spread his consciousness apart in millions of pieces.
Millions of hands crawled out of the shadows, each of them marred with eyes and darkness.
The whole place looked like something taken out of a horror movie... Dark eyes and hands everywhere, but there was a peculiarity... Every single hand was holding a phone!
The count never thought he would come up with such a mad idea, but it was worth a try.
Focusing his mind on millions of phones, he repeated the same procedure, connect to ethernet and enter into the social media Catherine uses, Facebook... create a profile.
Alas, the Vampire Count would meet the first issue with his experiment.
...
'Why is this shit not loading!' All the phones together connected to the internet and requested the Facebook site but it just wouldn't come up!
Count Dracula was fated to suffer the same fate millions of poor souls had undergone throughout their mortal lives... A slow connection.

It took the count a good half a day to resolve and understand the issues of this experiment.
First and foremost, access to foreign websites was very limited within China, it wasn't as easy for him to do it here as it was for Catherine to do it from the UK. He fixed this using Reng Shuang's identity and giving a call to the cyberspace organisation of China, with very little questioning, he was allowed access abroad.
Second, Facebook wouldn't be able to achieve its current purposes as its impact wasn't as high in China as it was abroad, therefore he got forced to change the first target from Facebook to a Chinese social media called WeChat...
He would still do it on Facebook, but focus more on national channels of communication.
And third, even with four different modules located at different places, the bandwidth was still not enough to handle millions of requests, he was therefore forced to use only a couple hundred thousand phones for the moment.
But he would later come to understand that it was more than enough... WAY MORE, than enough.

CEO's Office.
In a massive shinning building in Shanghai, at the top, a woman in her fifties talked on with someone, her expression pale.
"Mr Yuan, a-are you sure about this, that company, I haven't ever heard of it..." She said through the phone with a stutter, she had just received a ridiculous order from a very prominent individual in the television industry, moreover, it was the Yuan Family!
'I want you and all the televisions in Shanghai to transmit good news about a new company established in Zhonghai, Hermes' Bird Brewings! I don't care if you have to tell the public that they will 'piss gold' after drinking their alcohol! I want China to hear about them, do you understand!' On the other side of the phone, a person that sounded like a middle-aged man said hurriedly, afraid of the consequences if this order wasn't carried on!
He had received a call earlier if he didn't do his best to make this company appear on every single channel in china... A little secret of his would have to be in those channels instead!
The woman gulped audibly and accepted the task, an order from the Head of the Yuan Family, Yuan Hewei, couldn't possibly be ignored!
Just as the Clan Head hung up the phone, she hurriedly contacted all the news channel directors and department heads, this would be a rampage.
And this very situation was occurring in many industries all across China!
The transport industry, the advertisement industry, everywhere! The Bird of Hermes was spreading and everyone shall know its name!

"Hermes Brewings? What is it, never heard of it..."
"Are you crazy, that's the best liquor brand in China, their next products are said to offer a total revolution in the way the world sees Liquor!"
"You must be joking, as I said I never heard of it!"
"What the hell is going on, Jiangwei TV is making a small documentary about them..."
"It seemed to be acquired by a foreign entrepreneur called Vlad Tepes? He's not from China."
"Hermes Brewings is the best! WOW!"
"Why are there so many spammers in this server now?! The Shenzhen official broadcasting Channel is also speaking about them now..."
"Oi, their shares in the national stock markets are increasing! What the hell is Hermes Brewings!?"
"Waking your soul back from the Dead? What's wrong with such lame slang..."
"Do you dare insult the might of Hermes' Brewings and Mr Tepes? Jiudi12xx we know where you live! Expect us!"
"Hey! Mrs Jiemei is now speaking about it on her evening channel! They're even showing a catalogue of products!?"
"Scientifically proven to rejuvenate older people!? You must be kidding me!?"
"It's true! I feel younger after tasting it for the last few weeks!"
WeChat exploded, the Chinese broadcast channels exploded, China... Exploded.
Facebook Exploded.
