Bab 118: Chapter 118 - The Monster
Axel looked down at the grotesque creature that lay at his feet. Its fleshy exterior was covered in mouths, with human arms and legs protruding from its body in an unnatural manner. The smell emanating from the creature was nauseating, making Axel's stomach churn. He could feel the disgust rising inside him as he examined the abomination before him.
Axel and Ekail did not hesitated and jumped on the creature, Axel used his sickles the hack away the creature and Ekail used his knives to deal high damage. The creature tried to defend and attack back but against Axel and Ekail it was no use.
After about ten minutes of slashing and stabbing from Axel and Ekail, the creature was dead on the ground making human and animal mixed sounds.
As he took a deep breath to steady himself, Axel began to speak. "This thing is disgusting. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. It's clear that this thing is dangerous, and it's able to use nen. But now it's dead, thanks to my freedom ability with my sickles and Ekail's knives."
Ezar, Navi, and Ely looked at the creature in horror, each one visibly shaken by its appearance. They had encountered many strange and unusual creatures on their travels, but this one was beyond anything they had ever seen.
Axel knew that they needed to stay on guard. The fact that this creature was here meant that there was something dangerous lurking in the shadows. They couldn't afford to let their guard down, not even for a moment.
At that time, Navi shouted to them.
"There is another black door opened here; we should not waste any more time and go on."
Axel and Ekail looked at each other and nodded. As they followed Navi, Ezar wrote all the runes and ancient texts on his notepad-like tool, which was created by Nen.
As they continued their exploration of the tunnel, Axel made sure to keep his eyes open at all times, scanning the area for any signs of danger. He knew that they were in a dangerous place and that they needed to be prepared for whatever lay ahead.
As they entered the hallway, the walls were adorned with ancient writings, telling the story of a civilization long gone. The symbols were so intricate that even Navi, who was well versed in languages and cultures, had a hard time deciphering their meaning. But as they walked further down the tunnel, blue torches suddenly lit up along the walls, illuminating their way. It was a beautiful sight, and it almost seemed like the torches had a life of their own.
After a few minutes of walking, they came upon a large room, and in the center stood a massive stone coffin. The room was adorned with ancient relics and artifacts, with symbols and hieroglyphs etched on every surface. The air was heavy with a sense of history and reverence, and the group stood in awe at the sight before them.
Axel walked forward, his eyes fixed on the coffin. He could feel a strange energy emanating from it, and his curiosity was piqued. He wondered what secrets this ancient artifact might hold and what knowledge of the past it might reveal.
As he got closer, he noticed that there were strange markings etched into the stone, symbols that he had never seen before. Navi, who was now standing next to him, began to examine the markings closely, trying to make sense of them. As she did, the air in the room began to shift, almost as if the coffin was reacting to their presence.
Suddenly, the coffin began to tremble, and the group watched in amazement as it slowly opened, revealing a dark, gaping hole within. Axel and the others stepped back in shock, unsure of what to do next. They could sense that something powerful lay within, but they weren't sure if they were ready to face it.
