J.D. was excited to try his experiment.
He had placed the quartz crystals in a ring around the black stone. Then he had looped the copper wire around each crystal, stringing it between them, using the metal to form a closed circle. Now it was time for the next step.
Just then Kacey came into the cabin from outside, flashlight in one hand, and a very large sledgehammer in the other.
/"Good Lord,/" J.D. said. /"I don't suppose you have something like, you know, a claw hammer?/"
/"This is too big, I'm guessing,/" Kacey said.
/"Juuust a smidge, yeah./"
Setting the sledgehammer on its head, Kacey huffed, turned, and walked back outside.
