Veronica’s flight touches down at Lusaka International Airport and she is greeted by the whole group, as they are eager to see her again.

/"Heck, you lot make me feel like a celebrity. Anyone want an autograph?/"

Lots of hugs and kisses later, she’s bundled into David’s Land Cruiser and with Piet behind them in the Land Rover they set off on the long dusty journey to the smallholding, where she will spend the next couple of weeks. Adele, who has been starved for the company of another woman talk’s non-stop, and on arrival at the smallholding, David is only too pleased to escape the confines of the Land Cruiser and joins Piet, in preparing the braai fire and grabbing a couple of cold beers.
