Bab 84: Running into someone unexpectedly.

Christopher quietly listened to her. He was displeased with her because she was asking for something he would not be able to fulfill. He was also saddened to learn that Abigail had suppressed her desires because of her illness.

Vacation was something that every child desired. But she was unfortunate that she had not experienced the thrill. Her wish to go on a vacation with her mother remained buried within her.

What a depressing situation it would be for a child. Christopher couldn't even fathom her anguish.

Abigail had lived her childhood with the constant awareness that she could die at any time. How had she dealt with her pain and fear?

Christopher wanted to erase all the pain and fear in her mind. He would fill her life with happiness. But that didn't mean that he would let her go with Jasper. At the same time, he wouldn't let her down.

"No, I don't allow you to go with Jasper," he said.
