Bab 127: Honored Guest Has Arrived, Pardon Our Lack of Hospitality

Lian Qiao pushed the door open and a faint scent of grass wafted into Su Ying's nose.

There was only a bed made of bamboo, a chair with peeling paint, and a cabinet whose original color was no longer discernible. Other than that, there was nothing else in the room.

The moment Su Ying entered the room, the little boy sitting on the bed looked at her warily.

"Little Yuan, don't be afraid. Madam Su is here to check your pulse and see if there's any problem with your body." Lian Qiao stepped forward and calmed him down softly.

"Elder Sis, I'm not sick. I don't need to see anyone."

"If you let me take a look, your elder sister will be at ease. I won't ask for money."

Lian Qiao also tried to persuade him. "That's right. Quick. Let Madam Su take a look at you. It will be fine." 

Upon hearing Lian Qiao's words, Lian Yuan slowly extended his hand.

Su Ying walked up and took his pulse, but she asked, "Are you two the only ones staying here?"
