Bab 42: She has a what?
Chapter Seven
➜ [ Space ]
Miss Lateya stood shadowing above the three bounties that failed to retrieve the Omnimatrix. She sighed as she started pacing around them.
"You failed... You failed..."
"Miss Lateya, I understand that you're upset, but you have to understand that these two fools-"
"YOU!... failed... None of you understand do you? You don't fail when it comes to Chaos... You never fail when it comes to Chaos... If you are ordered to do a certain thing you do it- nobody fails..."
"We're sorry Mrs Lateya..."
"When Chaos arrives he wants to arrive with the Omnimatrix in this ship, if those orders are not listened to then you're as good as dead."
"We understand mam, but the capabilities of the device were not explained to us."
"The capabilities are simple, the user transforms into many alien species."
"But... Everytime he transforms into an alien after reverting into human he becomes smarter."
"Reverting to human?"
"Yes he transforms back-"
"Transform back? Isn't he able to transform from one alien into another while in alien form?"
"No mam. We thought you knew these stuff."
"And I thought he knew these stuff... But that makes sense since the Omnimatrix is new to our multiverse."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't worry, I doubt anything will happen to any of you since you were able to bring us valuable information about this device."

0verspeed sped down the streets of Middleton checking for any beacon or anything left behind by the aliens he fought with a week back.
The speed alien after making his last rounds came to a strong hult at the back of an alleyway. The watch flashed red and reverted back into himself.
"Nothing like after school rounds to get you all hyped for the weekend." Cameron said stretching his arms out. "Now to deal with the final matter."
Cameron knocked on the door of Addies house. Abbie took a small peak before opening the door fully. Cameron waved to her and she smiled letting him.
"So Addie's is up in his room?" Cameron asked.
"Yeah... After my parents found out that he sneaked out late at night they decided to ground him."
"Damn, and he's always been the good one in our group, of course second to... I already forgot his name."
"You should go speak to him, as his sister I wanted to do it, but as one of his close friends I thought you should do it."
"Sure."
Cameron made the walk to Addie's room and was about to open the door when Abbie stopped him.
"Cameron... How is Aiden?" Addie asked. "The last time we spoke... I just want to know how he is?"
"He's great... Awesome actually."
"Right and he's not a bad person alright."
"Uh yeah I know."
Cameron entered Addies room. Abbie sat against the door and checked the time on her phone which was (15:40)

Abbie checked the time on her phone again and it was now (16:23) she sighed and went to her message app. She pressed her archived numbers and scrolled down to Aiden's number.
Abbie looked at the recent message which was 'can we speak' the message came from her after Aiden sent 'sorry'
The door to Addies room opened which lit a spark in Abbie, she jumped onto her feet and scrolled back into the wall. Cameron walked out with a smile on his face, Addie came out laughing.
"Remember my dads convention alright Cam?"
"Will do dude. I won't forget."
"Dad's convention? That's like around next year, you seriously want him to remember that?"
"He'll remember."
➜ [ Middleton [ Cashaway ]
Cameron opened the two doors of the Middleton Cashaway. The Cashaway was a place where almost everyone in Middleton would go to get a drink or even gamble at times.
"Cameron!" An old white skinned lady waved, "This is a surprise, I didn't expect you to be here today."
"I didn't think I would be here today either, but yet here I am."
"Do you want the classic Shakie, Merryn style?"
"You know I do." Cameron said.
He sat on one of the stools and waited for his order. Cameron looked around the area scanning for anything that would catch his interest, but nothing really seemed to be notable.
On the other side of the Cashaway an old man was playing a game of chess with two suited men wearing glasses with a square on their suits. The suited man playing against the man didn't seem happy at the game.
"Checkmate!" The man exclaimed loudly. Cameron chuckled.
Merryn returned with Cameron's shakie. The shakie as usual soothed Cameron's taste, but didn't sooth his interest the same way the man who just won was dancing.
"Mr Dhawan looks super happy." Cameron noted.
"Yeah, and he's still up to his old tricks of scamming every single person he plays against."
"Yeah... I think that's why I like him, his cheating guarantees him a win, but he never bets money."
"He's a nice man living in a cheaters body."
"I'm shocked that their allowing aliens to live here in Middleton especially since the entire Davenport incident with their child killing them. I know their kid was a mutant, but they always rank aliens and mutants together."
"Wrong. After the alien heroes, aliens are ranked way more higher than mutants."
"Yeah... I didn't ask- have you heard about the aliens coming here before I said now?"
"Oh yeah of course. That's been the talk all over Middleton, the mayor even wants to make a section or a town dedicated to them, but we both know that's just pure racism."
"You can't judge him for being careful."
"Just because their different, it doesn't mean their monsters. If we treat the aliens like monsters then we will be starting the third racism act instantly; first it was the idea of white supremacy, then it was the separation of mutants with humans and now it might be the alien hate."
"I guess you have a point."
Cameron's phone buzzed, he was about to check it when the two suited men approached Mr Dhawan looking a bit serious. The two men nudged for Mr Dhawan to follow them outside and he did what they ordered after one of the men opened their suit top a bit.
"Seems like Dhawan made some friends."
"Yeah... Friends..."
Cameron took the shakie and went out back. He activated the Omnitrix and turned the dial to; Burn Out.
"Friends my ass."
➜ [ Meanwhile ]
Ruby was walking with her two friends. Across the road they caught eye of Maddie, they waved over to her. Maddie looked across the road twice before crossing over to them.
"Whats up Rubes? Are you gonna talk to me about the Davenport family again?" Maddie asked.
"No. You know Léla right?" Ruby pointed over to her friend Léla.
"Yep."
Léla is a striking 14-year-old girl with beautifully delicate features that complement her light brown complexion on the African American side similar to Cameron. Her long, dark hair falls in loose waves around her face, framing her dark eyes.
"Guess who she has a crush on?" Ruby asked her to guess.
"Sam?"
"Nope. The one and only; Cameron Lenardo."
Maddie pasued a bit, "Cameron? Your Cameron? Your best friend Cameron?"
"Yep! And we have this amazing idea of we can set them up together."
"We?" Maddie repeated.
"Yeah, you're a master planner... Like the way you always plan these strategical ways to get out of trouble is amazing."
"It really is... I admire that..." Léla complimented.
"I guess you have a point."
"So what we've gotten so far is that we're gonna ask the boys to the movies and then we're gonna end up leaving Léla alone with Cameron and then boom."
"It's not boom in as I'll try to ask him out, it's boom in I'll try to have a moment with him."
"Sounds... Great!" Maddie said with enthusiasm at the end. "Let's start planning-"
A string of fire crossed passed their heads. The girls looked up clearly making out that it was one of the alien heroes. Ruby was the only one out of the three who didn't seem impressed.
Burn Out looked down noticing the girls, "That's Ruby and her friends, maybe I can put on a little show for them since those suited guys left the second I told them leave Dhawan alone."
Burn Out stopped above the four girls and shot a burst of flames into the sky. He then threw a fire ball into the evaporating flames. The flames exploded and a rain of fire came crashing down in front of the girls.
They clapped. Burn Out winked before shooting off.
BurnOut landed on a roof near by and checked his messages with Aiden and his so called best friend has not replied yet.
