Bab 11: What the heck?
I was getting used to constant influx of information that was shuffling its way into my brain whenever there was the slightest change in my surroundings, my 50 metre radius that is.
Surprisingly my brain could handle it so I assumed I had a high mental force and mental power but I wouldn't actually know as where the number for it would be in my status, instead there it was but replaced with 'ERROR'. It didn't really matter to me though.
If I'm going to be honest, it is a little annoying having Violet sleeping on my lap. It's not uncomfortable it's just that if I need to get up and attack monsters that are approaching us then I'll wake her up with my movements. It takes a while for Violet to sleep when it comes to it because she is scared, I mean I get it but we just have to make do with what we have currently and hope for the best or put in effort to stay safe.
Anyway once Violet fell asleep I quickly shifted her body off of mine and onto the ground, well in this case onto the tree as we were sleeping up there. I gently put her down cautious to not wake her up and I did some scouting of the area to pass time but I never strayed very far from Violet. I memorised our surroundings in a 400 metre by 400 metre square like area with the tree Violet was sleeping in as the centre.

The sun was rising and I was basking in its pleasant rays of light peaking out from behind the trees and distant mountains. Violet was still fast asleep and it was increasingly boring waiting around all day while staying up all night and day without a single nap.
I was nearing the point of reaching level 30 but I didn't want to evolve while outside in the wilderness and while I had Violet around to protect.
While Violet was still sleeping I walked over to the river and killed 3 slimes so I could get to the edge of the water and take a sip. It was refreshing and cold but it probably wasn't too safe to drink but I'm sure we will be fine, it's relatively clean anyway.
While drinking I heard a roar coming from the woods where apes and goblins were able to be seen. While sharpening my gaze to where the roar came from I found a wyvern which had a large cut running down the base of its wing and it was seemingly deep enough to disable the wyverns ability to fly.
'Damn those goblins and apes are going to kill it. It would be such a great source of EXP and levels. Ugh should I try snatch the kill? I don't want to evolve yet though. Hmm.' I was busy focusing on whether I should kill it and risk evolving or just watch it die to the goblins.
Goblins and apes swarmed around the struggling wyvern fighting over who would kill it turning it into a massive free for all battle with the wyvern just waiting for its inevitable doom.
'This would be the perfect chance to swoop in and kill it. Should I? I should, I'm just going to do it. Who cares, well maybe the goblins and apes but not me that's for sure.'
I ran at full speed and jumped through the trees to where the wyvern was. I used my skill [Scratch] and decapitated the wyvern where it's head fell clean off and landed on the ground with a soft thump which couldn't be heard over the apes roaring and batting their chests and the hideous screeching of the goblins. None of them were aware that I just killed it which I found pretty convenient so I just ran back to where Violet layer and acted as if nothing just happened.

'Okay that's great I can hold off the evolution but it's in exchange for pain because of my body being to weak to hold my power, should be fine right?'
A wave of pain surged up from my heart spreading throughout my whole body. It felt like being put into a shredder, well what I assumed it would feel like if you were put in a shredder as I have never experienced that. Anyway it was painful. My wing hurt the most because it hadn't healed yet and more pain was being added on top of that.
Despite the pains, I toughed it through making sure I didn't show it which was quite easy as I'm very accustomed to pain. Since this was a pain I had never felt before it took a while to get use too but eventually I got used to it although I still felt an uncomfortable tingling all around my body.
I stayed with Violet who was still asleep although you could hear all the fighting going on from over the river from the goblins and apes which were still going at the free for all.

Eventually Violet woke up due to being hungry and she just stared at me like i was a mystic being.
"Violet, is something the matter?"
"Yeah you feel odd. Stronger as in. Also I'm hungry." She said clutching her stomach which started making gurgling noises.
"That's probably from all the monsters I've killed but that doesn't matter, let's go get some food. You wait here I'll be back."
"Okay sissy." Violet smiled at me as I left.
I decided it would be nice to try wyvern meat as the monsters were still fighting and completely forgot about the wyvern I just snuck up to it quietly and cut of two very big chunks of meat and ran back to Violet.
"Huh? Sissy what's that?" Violet questioned staring intently at the meat.
"Just some wyvern meat." I said nonchalantly giving of a shrug as I set up the fire to cook the meat with.
"What!? How'd you get it? Tell me!" Violet started demanding for answers on how I got such a thing.
"I killed one which was injured and the noise from the other side of the river is from the apes and goblins which are trying to get the wyvern." I said rotating the meat on sticks.
"Wow sissy your so strong!"
"Uh huh."
Once I finished cooking the wyvern 'chunks' I passed one to Violet and I started eating mine.

"Sissy can you hear me? Helllooo?" Violet was waving her small hand in front of my face trying to get my attention snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Ah sorry I was thinking about something." I said rubbing the back of my head.
"Hmph if you didn't want to listen to me just say it then." Violet said turning her head pouting.
"That's not what I meant. Oh never mind."
Suddenly I felt something enter my [Spatial awareness] radius and it was a weird thing. It felt like a part of nature but it wasn't. A spirit?
I looked in the direction of what I assumed to be the spirit and there it was. A dryad. Dryads are nature spirits that regularly take on the form of a young woman.
I looked at her and she looked directly at me and bowed.
'Huh?'
"Hello Kiera, I have come on the orders of Annalise whom you would call your mother. She has sent out multiple dryads and other spirits to find you. May I lead you home?"
I was stunned.
"Well yeah, I've been trying to get home but it's a little tricky. Can you fight?"
"I cannot unless the contractor, your mother, orders me to do so in that very moment."
"Fancy way of saying you can't then? Could you carry Violet for me?"
"Yes I can do that."
"Sissy don't trust random strange things!" Violet shouted hiding behind me after interrupting my conversation with the dryad.
"Violet it's fine. This dryad is contracted under mother. She cannot harm us."
"Mother?"
"Yeah we are going home." I said picking up Violet and passing her to the dryad.
"Do you have a name?" I said to the dryad.
"Just call me Willoa." She said walking in the direction of our mountain.

We continued to walk in silence until a throbbing pain hit my chest. It felt like my chest was about to burst and was pulsating. I coughed up blood and clutched my heart breaking out into a sweat. I stumbled back and rested my back on a tree groaning.

'Shit.'
Willoa turned around and Violet looked at me confused.
"Ignore me I'm fine." I said trying to shrug off the pain but failing to do so stumbling forward when Willoa caught me.
"Doesn't look like that." She said raising a brow.
Before she could continue speaking a loud crash was heard behind me so I slowly turned around.
"What the heck?" I said staring at the massive red ogre in front of me.
'There is no way I can fight in this condition for gods sake.'
