Bab 22: Chapter 22: Kiss of Corruption

There was no way of telling how long Mykel spent chasing after the imposter. Everytime he felt that he was getting close to her, she would disappear and lead him down deeper into the ruins of the city he had come to know so well. The best thing he could say about his current situation was that so far, it seemed like the shadow creatures had no interest in attacking him. Mykel suspected that might be because of the woman’s influence though.

As to where she was trying to lead him, he wasn’t all sure. He had a feeling he was getting closer to the heart of The Dark, however, because the further he followed her in, the more and more of those dark vines he noticed. It felt more like the shadow of the World of the Light was infected by something. A reflection of light infected by a deep growing darkness.
