Bab 66: King of the West

  Emilia wakes up, feeling hot and uncomfortable. She realizes that her bite has become infected, but she doesn't want to worry her siblings or slow down their journey. She tries to hide her discomfort and pretends to be fine.

As she looks towards the driver's seat, she notices that Isaac is struggling to keep his eyes open. She realizes that he has been driving through the entire night without stopping or sleeping.

Without hesitating, Emilia offers to take over driving. "Isaac, let me drive for a while. You need to get some rest," she says.

Isaac protests at first, but he knows that he can't keep going without rest. "Okay, Emilia. But be careful, okay?" he says, handing her the keys.

Emilia nods, grateful for the chance to take control. She starts up the car and continues down the road, her focus on the winding path ahead.
