There were five people sitting there. The old man on the main seat was called Chang Xuezhi, the dean of the Changtian Academy. The other four were vice deans.

The five of them represented the five aristocratic families. The representatives that the forces behind them had pushed out, including the disciples that they had cultivated, were also divided among the five families. Some people were stubborn and did not want to work for them. They resisted in all kinds of ways. They were expelled from the Academy, banned, or even thrown into prison with their power.

They were Zhang clan, Zhu clan, Gao clan, Pang clan and Lu clan.

The atmosphere was solemn and oppressive.
