Maris couldn't stay away from Esme; her beauty called him, and he craved for her to the extent that he discarded the rules given by his father.

'I am sorry, Father, Maris asked for forgiveness as he wrapped his arms around Esme, looking down, holding her, and planting a kiss on her forehead.

Esme smiles, snuggling around the strong arms wrapped around her, holding her tight, feeling loved and protected, unaware of the man's real intentions.

Maris held Esme in her arms, sleeping soundly when he felt someone's presence, and shut his eyes to see who it was. He saw his father, Maurice, staring down at him and Esme on the bed.

His first instinct forced him to cover his half-naked body from his father, which made Maurice even more furious and glared down at him.

Maris panicked and rose from the bed. Maurice did not look away; the disappointment in his eyes was clear as he stepped closer to Maris and grabbed him by his neck, strangling him and making it hard for him to breathe.
