Bab 226: Faerith's Fate

Within the dim confines of Gomez's chamber, Faerith opened her eyes. She found herself submerged in a pool of recovery liquid, the viscous substance enveloping her body like a warm embrace. Despite the painful expression etched on her face, a wave of relief washed over her as she felt the soothing properties of the healing pool begin to work their magic.

It was quite unusual for Gomez to grant her access to using such a precious resource. She could feel the nourishment and vitality that the recovery pool was giving to her body. Such a miraculous resource! 

The pain that had gripped her following the brutal confrontation faded gradually. Her skin had healed from the wounds that she suffered in battle yet she was acutely aware that the healing potions she had ingested post-battle had only mended her physical wounds. The internal injuries and the damage to her spirit, however, lingered like a dark cloud overhead and would still need time to heal.
