"So, where is everyone?" Zeal asked as he looked around the empty city,
the half-constructed buildings and the sense of abandonment spread across it.
"They probably already left," Miya muttered, looking down in the dumps,
her hands turned into fists just thinking what might be happening to them. There was no hope of finding them at this rate, no guide, no goal,
They could be anywhere.
We could've been anywhere.
Zeal watched her, sympathizing with what she was going through. The feeling of not being able to see your loved ones again is a hard pill to swallow, but you get used to it.
"Come on," Zeal finally said to Miya, putting a hand on her shoulder to comfort her,
"We need to look somewhere else,"
Miya nodded, following Zeal as they left the city, kicking the rubble under their feet as they walked out.
