Chapter Forty-Three
Kia gets me to the Lusole Temple in two days, with her running nonstop. Once we reached the warmer climate, and I warmed up enough to trust myself to sleep, Kia would snarl and weave to keep me awake. She knew if I slept, I wasn’t getting up for a while. I can’t really blame her for that one.
The Lusole Temple is in a forest setting. It’s made of brown seastone. It’s almost like a castle, except for the quiet setting. There is a small waterfall that feeds into the lake. It’s next to acres of flat woodlands for the packs to gather and hunt around it. It’s one of my favorite temples due to how serene it is. Too bad it’s dedicated to a petty ass god.
Kia walks into the temple with me on her back. I know Greyson and Silas are here because they both yell my name. I sit up on Kia as I groan. They are both wearing black t-shirts and pants. “Are we supposed to be matching today?” I ask, well aware that the joke is going to go unnoticed.
