When Sage opened her eyes, she felt Caspian’s arms tighten around her. His breathing was slow and heavy, and she listened to it for a while letting herself drift back to sleep.
The next time she woke, he had his eyes open and was staring up at the ceiling. She watched him for a moment peacefully lost in his thoughts before she spoke.
“Hi,” she said quietly.
He looked at her and smiled. “Hi.”
“What were you thinking about?” she asked.
“Thinking about how beautiful you look in the morning, witch.”
Sage blushed. “Flattery won’t get you laid, shifter.”
“Won’t it?” he kissed her. She laughed but sighed into him, grasping at him.
He slid on top of her, grinding his hips into her.
“I think it’s my turn to be in control,” he growled in her ear.
