Bab 17: Chapter 17: A Shifter's Pull

Nikolas sat across from Sage in the library. The room smelled of old books and had large windows, letting the sunlight soak the pages that lay out in front of them. Sage had pulled a few history books from the shelves for her research: The First Witch Wolven War, The Politics Behind the War, The Curse of a Witch.

They studied in silence. Sage scoured the books, searching for something that mentioned the pull the shifters had spoken about. She had been hoping to find some clue in the history books without alerting Nikolas that she was researching shifter mates. Instead, she found extensive history about the wars and why the witches and shifters hated each other so much.

“Did you know about the story of Katrina and Fabian?” Sage asked Nikolas. “The reason the Wolven Witch wars originally were started?”
