Letting Go of the Past
Without wasting a single second Ichigo recited the Bakudo spell in his mind and made appropriate hand gestures as he shouted while running "Bakudo #1 Sai!" The moment Ichigo's Kido was launched, Grand Fisher's claws that were moving towards Karin to grab her got restrained by the spell.
Ichigo had never tried this on anyone apart from Orihime till now so for this obvious reason it did not work perfectly on Grand Fisher. He did not fall on the ground and only got restrained a bit but it seemed like he was fighting over the resistance that was put up by the Bakudo on his body and might eventually escape it.
This was enough for Ichigo as he soon caught up with Karin and pulled her away from the Grand Fisher as he hugged her tightly to calm her cold body that was still shivering from the mind-chilling experience she just had.
Feeling the warm embrace of Ichigo, Karin's shivering body calmed down a bit as she said while looking at her elder brother, "You came…"
"Of course, I did you silly. You did well by shouting. Leave the rest for your brother to handle." Ichigo said to her while rubbing her back to comfort her.
Hearing him Karin nodded in relief as her eyelids slowly closed themselves. Her body must have weakened after experiencing the high spiritual pressure from the hollow. Placing Karin on the ground, Ichigo turned back towards Grand Fisher only to be caught by surprise as one of its long fingernails from its claw extended at a rapid pace and penetrated Ichigo's chest.
Ichigo spat out a bit of his blood from his mouth due to this injury as he felt the fingernail sucking some of his spiritual pressure before leaving his body leaving a deep hole in its place. Ichigo could feel his body losing heat as his warm blood started gushing out of the wound but that was the last thing his mind was focused on at the moment.
The reason for this was the sudden transformation that the Grand Fisher was going through. He extended out the antenna on his head as the piece of skin-like thing that was hanging at the end of it started changing shape.
"You're an interesting person Hehee…" Grand Fisher said in a teasing voice as he continued "Out of all the people you've come in contact with…the one you can't bear to hurt is also the one that you hate the most."
As he finished speaking, the mound of skin at the end of his antenna finally changed its shape to his intended target. Seeing the face of the person he was very familiar with and would most probably never forget in his whole life Ichigo couldn't help but hold his breath for a few seconds.
Seeing Ichigo's expression pleased Grand fisher a lot as he got his share of sadistic pleasure from seeing the emotions that kept on changing on Ichigo's face.
The innocent delicate smile on that fake thing's face was the same one which he fell for in his earlier life. The face was carved in such a way that the moment he laid his eyes on it he knew that it was his ideal representation of a beautiful woman and gave his all to pursue her because he felt that he won't be getting this feeling ever again.
All the good memories he shared with her, her laughing at her stupid jokes and embracing him when was in need, all of it entered his mind and made him almost tear up. His tears were stopped by the small prick he felt in his heart as the clear image of her betrayal flashed in his mind.
The small prick slowly intensified and started hurting more and more as the memories he had been subconsciously trying to block forced their way through the back of his mind for him to finally accept them. From the start of his relationship with her, he had seen clear signs of the fact that she was hiding something from him and was not truly in love with him but lost in his own dream world of love he ignored them all.
Something he paid for dearly with the life of his child. This realization that all the fault was his filled him up with anger. If only he didn't get blind in love and give away his rational thinking he wouldn't have to experience the fate he did.
The anger that was rising up in his mind like a volcano that was almost about to erupt suddenly vanished as an abnormal calm took over him. He had finally accepted it. Everything that happened to him was his fault and he could have prevented it all if he had been more careful. After acceptance came a natural calmness. What's done was done, he couldn't change it anymore but what is to come in the future, he definitely can change it.
Seeing the calmness that had appeared on Ichigo's face all of a sudden Grand Fisher became worried and confused as he used the woman to stir up his emotions, "Honey, I'm sorry for what I've done. I've realized my mistakes and I want to be in your embrace just like before…"
Grand Fisher was doing all this just to buy time while he broke the Kido spell that was placed on him. He could feel that in just another minute he would be able to successfully break through this spell and personally deal with this human with spiritual powers rather than using tactics to play with his mind.
Unfortunately for him, Ichigo had clearly seen through his intentions as the puppet's words failed to stir up his emotions. His heart was like a calm sea that won't be disturbed unless he truly wanted it to.
Grand Fisher who was expecting Ichigo to make up a scene in his anger was taken in by surprise as another spell of Bakudo #1 was cast on his body making all the efforts he had put into breaking through it earlier useless now.
"YOU-" Grand Fisher said in shock and anger. This had never happened before as all of his victims failed to control their emotions and ended up having their souls consumed by him. This feeling filled him with dread as it should be because not a second after Ichigo started reciting the spell for Shakkaho.
Ichigo had almost mastered the Shakkaho so now he only needed to recite the spells out if the power of the spell was using more than half of his spiritual power deposit which was, to be honest, quite a lot.
"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado #31 Shakkaho!" Ichigo launched the giant ball of Shakkaho towards the restrained Grand Fisher who was like a cattle waiting to get slaughtered.
The dread that was hovering over the Grand Fisher's heart soon turned into despair as he saw the giant red ball of fire make its way towards him and finally engulf him in its torturous embrace. Shouts and cries of pain sounded out which slowly died down and after a while, what remained was just an ashy ground.
