"Oh, oh my! I'm so sorry, Miss Lydia!"
Peeking between her clutter of blankets, Lydia slowly sat up.
"You've seen me naked, forget about it."
"But, but, in your bed!"
Lydia quickly looked around, sighing as she dug through the empty bed.
"She left."
"Oh."
Lydia looked over at Scarlet, the girl seeming quite saddened.
"She seemed to truly enjoy your company. I expected that... well, maybe... you would fall for her."
Lydia got to her feet, pointing at the bottle. Scarlet got to work as Lydia got herself dressed.
"You could say I did. I already want to drag her back here, tie her down and scream my lungs out. Yet here we are, waking up alone with my heart barely beating. Heh... maybe that was her plan. Screw with me until I can no longer bear it."
As she finished speaking, a horn was sounded from the town. Her eyes narrowed as Scarlet seemed fearful.
"A Demon Horn. I only ever hear it on test days, yet here we go. Suit me up!"
Within fifteen minutes, Lydia was running to the town gate. Many were fearful, hiding in their homes, only to scream a cry of victory as Lydia ran passed.
"Sir Rex! Save us! Protect us!"
Their cries fell on deaf ears as Lydia slid under the opening gate.
"Close it. Do not open it until I give the order."
As the gate slammed, Lydia looked across the area ahead. Three different beings stood before her, but two quickly fell back as the last stepped forward. He was tall, muscular and devilishly handsome. His hands rested on a pair of hilts on his hips.
"And you are?"
He bowed respectfully as he spoke.
"You may call me Raphael, a Sword Demon."
"So you announced that you were a Demon to my people?"
Ignoring her question, he spoke again.
"Are you the strongest of your people? I wish for a spectacular fight after feeling so much energy protecting this place last night."
Lydia sighed as she scratched her head.
"I'm hungover, so it won't be much of a fight."
Raphael had a look of disdain on his face as he heard her.
"Fine, then I will personally destroy this-"
His voice was lost as Lydia appeared before his eyes. The look of disdain was replaced by excitement as their blades clashed. Sparks flew as a bloodthirsty expression filled his gaze.
"More! Give me more!"
Lydia took a moment to detach.
"What makes you want this so much?"
Without even thinking, Raphael replied.
"Lust you stupid bitch! I lust after a clash between blades! It makes the sex so much better!"
Lydia fumbled her sword as he spoke.
"Lust? Is that what I feel for her?"
Her contemplation feel silent as Raphael lunged once more.
"I have never been more turned on then after a battle with a strong opponent! Sure I break three of four women, but I couldn't care less!"
Raphael's blades gashed across Lydia's chest, cracking her armor. She backed up, her hand running along the gash.
"That's the second chestplate in the last few days. These are expensive you prick!"
Lydia dashed forward, ducking under Raphael's blades. His eyes narrowed just as her hilt struck his chin, however the attack didn't stop. Lifting from the ground, he began to fall back as her blade flew up. A long and clean slice slid from his shoulder to his ankle.
"And this is why we wear- guh!"
"You humans are predictable."
Lydia stared down, blood in her hands. She had hacked up blood as a sword was now sitting deep in her gut. Her eyes went wide as her blood spilled along the blade.
"Illusion magic. It's a fun trick to mess with warriors, but here's the best part!"
Lydia flinched as she felt three more blades pierce her slowly dying body. She began to splutter as blood filled her mouth.
"W-why?"
"Because I want to have some crazy sex with a village worth of women! Speaking of..."
He flicked his wrist, his blades snapping Lydia's armor. He had also nicked her bandages, her body returning to normal.
"Too bad. A real looker. Could have made you my personal toy with a body this fine."
Raphael howled with laughter as he returned to his allies sides.
"Demons do work differently. Should have stayed inside girly!"
Lydia no longer had any strength, her body failing to stay standing. She dropped to her knees, the blades being pushed further into her body. As darkness began to cloud her vision, her lips trembled.
"Lillia..."
"To think you'd need me so quickly!"
Lydia could barely make out the body before her, but the voice was unmistakable.
"I'm... sorry..."
"Why do you sound like- Lydia! No, no, no! Shit! Stay with me with!"
Lillia was on her knees, lifting Lydia's face and trying to move her to reduce pressure on the blades. Her red eyes filled with tears as Lydia fell limp in her arms.
"I shouldn't have left. I should have stayed and protected you!"
She wiped her eyes, oblivious to the Demons behind her, and began to remove the blades. After they were gone, she laid Lydia on her back and bit back her sorrow.
"Stupid! You still smell like alchohol. Did it really hurt that much when I left you? It hasn't even been a day!"
Lillia wiped her tears as she continued to make Lydia comfortable, completely ignoring the three Demons nearby. They were immobile, frozen in terror.
"Bastards!"
Finally whipping around, Lillia dashed across the open area towards them. As soon as she reached them, the three Demons and herself vanished.
-
"Good heavens! You aren't supposed to be here yet!"
A warm, soft hand began to stroke Lydia's face.
"You need to wake up, sweetie. Your little girlfriend is going on a rampage."
"But it's so comfortable here. Can't I just... wait girlfriend? Lillia isn't-"
"Yet she came to mind, huh?"
"Don't tease me! I do like her, but why would she rampage?"
The voice grew softer.
"Because you were hurt. She got angry for you. Don't you think you should go see her?"
Lydia sighed.
"But I'm too weak."
"Then break those shackles."
Lydia suddenly felt a heavy weight around all four limbs. Her eyes flitted to the heavy shackles, a strange weakness overcoming her as she stared at them.
"How?"
"Shatter them."
