Bab 158: No Turning Back

Skyler's POV

"What? Stanley told you I am engaged with Selena?" Neil asked after I told him my brother's made-up story, and I could feel the amusement in his voice.

"Yeah, and now, I get it; he only wanted me to make a move on Selena, I felt so jealous of you, and I swore to do everything I could to make you leave Selena alone. I was such a fool for not asking her about it since I was afraid she would feel guilty and would break up with me." I responded, and Neil was laughing.

"Wow! That was too much of a prank," he replied.

"Yeah, it was," I responded.

"Skyler, Neil, I prepared some snacks," Gwen said the moment she got back into the front porch, and she guided me inside their house.

I could hear my father's laughter and realized he really enjoyed talking with Mike. We joined them in the living room, and Gwen handed me an orange drink, and I took it in one gulp since I felt so thirsty.
