Bab 308: Come

Currently, in a luxurious hall that was clearly in a rich man's residence, an old man was enjoying the welcome of a group of people consisting of several middle-aged men and women. There were also young ones, but they were just watching at the back.

The old man was wearing long pants and a formal suit, looking like a successful businessman.

He was holding a cane, but it wasn't like a typical cane. It had a smaller size so it looked easy to swing around.

After drinking a cup of wine, he said, "That man called Parker is quite old. I'm sure no one would think it strange if he suddenly got sick and died, right?"

What he said made the people who had been laughing happily fall silent.

Then, one of the middle-aged women nodded vigorously.

"That's for sure, Mr. Jaxon," she said. "Who would suspect that if he dies, he's already too old that his death is natural. That he lived until now is a blessing for him."

It seemed that the woman wanted Parker dead more than anything else.
