"What?" Diana said next, the moment she heard beta say those last words that nearly made her choke in curiosity.
Her hands trembled as she spoke, and she gulped down nothing into her throat. What about her, would she be next on his list? Those questions ran through her mind.
"He keeps it hidden till now, and he forcefully made his way through this position of Alpha as a result of his cruelty." Beta continued.
Saying this, he walked even more closer to her, till he was just a few inches away from her.
When he touched her shoulders, she didn't react in any negative way, and that was when he understood that he had finally gotten her trust.
"I advise you be good to him, else, you're as good as dead."
Diana felt her heart nearly falling out from her chest with the massive beats it had. Her wobbly legs were becoming weaker, and the blood in her face was slowly drying up.
"Help me! Help me to leave." Her shaky voice came next, and her eyes sparkled as she stared at him. Her deep blue eyes did the pleading, while she pursed her lips in displeasure.
He took her hands, and then rubbed his on hers. "Breathe." He said,
Diana shut her eyes for a second, before hearing his voice again. "Dont be scared." He assured
A smile escaped his lips once he was sure he had gotten her where he wanted to. It was all so easy that he was beginning to believe she was truly a fool to begin with.
He kept rubbing her hands, in a more seductive manner, but Diana was too scared to notice any of these acts, or the devilish look on his face.
"Before he gets a chance to sleep with you like what he did to the rest, you need to escape." He whispered very slowly, but loud into her ears.
Those words made her feel strange in some kind of way. Scared, anxious, curious, suspicious, every feeling in the world. Something was wrong somewhere, especially with the way he spoke, but Diana wanted to ignore that because she had seen him kill. She had seen him take a life so ruthlessly, without any mercy, and nothing more could convince her that he was a good man.
To her, Alpha Rolex was just a little of the monster Beta was trying to make her see him as.
Shutting her eyes, Diana took in a deep breath in order to control her fear.
She felt his hands on the tips of her hair, but she didn't move. "You're one beautiful she-wolf Diana, especially in the eyes of the Alpha, but I believe you deserve more than this. Your freedom, as well as your life back."
She raised her eyes to stare back at his.
"He doesn't deserve even a little space in your heart, or deserve to see you naked." His words rang into her ears, making her tummy twist in irritation at the thought of it.
"You became his Beta, so why do you still stay behind him even after knowing his evil deeds?" Diana questioned.
"I can do nothing since the pack is in the wrong hands Diana, as I'm no match for the Alpha."
She pinned back her eyes to the floor in disappointment, as it really felt like all hopes were lost.
"But," she heard him speak, making her raise her eyes again, to stare at him.
"I can help you escape Diana, and take you far, far away where he'll never find you."
A small, but thankful smile escaped her lips. "Thank you, oh thank you."
"Not now Diana, but late at night when he returns back and is busy with other slaves." He said, and then turned to leave, but she held him back.
"Promise you won't leave me behind." Diana said, gripping his arm tightly, while staring directly into his eyes. The silence between them lasted for about a minute or two before he spoke.
He went ahead to touch her shoulders again. "We're friends Diana, and friends don't leave each other behind. Tonight we make a run together."
Diana returned the smile he gave to her, and then immediately let go of his hands.
Just as he touched the door knob to open up the door, she whispered just immediately
"Stop!"
She could feel her heart racing for an unknown reason, and then her hands trembling at the same time.
"Do you feel that?" Diana asked, shutting her eyes, to understand the warning her body was trying to give back to her.
He had halted already, and with her strange behavior, he turned back and walked closer to her again.
"Feel what?" He asked.
"I don't know." Diana replied, confused as well. She wondered why she had suddenly told him to stop. What danger was ahead?.
"Are you alright?" He asked worriedly.
When she nodded, he could hear her heart racing as well, "Do you feel something strange?" He asked her.
"Go! You need to leave now." Diana half yelled at him, spranging her eyes open immediately.
She could feel and hear his loud footsteps coming from the passageway, down to the room. The footsteps that screamed danger to her.
Without asking any questions, he rushed towards the door, but then she stopped him again.
"No! Not there, here." She said, pointing to the window. "Hurry!"
Hearing, and feeling the intensity of her words, he guessed it could only mean one thing. In a hurry, he rushed towards the window, and one look, there was no doubt jumping was going to be dangerous.
It was now, or never. He had to take the chance. Before he jumped out, he turned back to look at her.
"Be ready Diana, I'll come for you tonight." He said, and then finally jumped down at a go.
Diana tried struggling with her breathing as she watched him leave. Her whole body instantly became weak when she could hear the footsteps approaching closer to her.
She thought of running to go lock the door, but no, it would be useless.
As his shoes made those scary noises in the passageway, her legs were retreating back, untill there was no where else to go.
She was stuck, stuck to the wall while waiting for his presence.
The door opened, making the cold breeze that had passed through the window she forget to shut sweep against her bare face.
Tearfully, she shut her eyes as he walked into the room and began taking steps closer to him.
