Chapter 048 Not Finished Yet
Hans left Halvir and Anindira, who were still deep in emotion. He went down to meet Gavriel and checked his condition.
''Huh!'' Hans exclaimed with an arrogant expression, ''You're lucky, Anindira's voice saved you.''
''You're lucky,'' Axel said while patting Gavriel's head gently, ''Your head is still firmly in position...'' Axel continued with a grin.
''Hmh...'' Gavriel answered briefly with a bitter smile on his lips. He leaned his body against a tree, raised his head, calming himself from the teardrops hanging at the corner of his eyes.
Gavriel knew that Halvir was holding back. From the start, it was just a warning from Halvir to him. Halvir never intended to kill him. He knew that very clearly.
Gavriel was happy even though he couldn't go up and see Anindira. But he could hear her voice.
