"Well anyway, your mother called. She asked when are you coming back home." Michael said.
"I'll think about it. What about the meeting?" Chase read the report,
"Some of the CEOs didn't agree with it. But the good news is, the others agreed on the case." He winked.
"Good," Chase murmured.
- at the ground floor
"What!?" Francesca gasped,
"Yes, ma'am. He said it." Kishley Monroe, the manager of the company said.
"Take me to his office! This must be a mistake!" Francesca gasped,
"No, I can't do that. The CEO is busy right now." Kishley simply shooked her head,
"Take me to him right now!" Francesca ordered.
"I'll only say it twice. The CEO is busy right now and cannot be disturbed." Kishley replied dead calm.
"Who are you to talk to me like that? I am your CEO's fiancée!" Francesca argued,
"Well, not anymore. He already said to break off the engagement." Kishley simply shrugged.
"I don't believe it! It must be a mistake!" Francesca snapped,
"Well, my cousin often makes mistakes. But I'm not sure on this one." Kishley said.
Out of rage, Francesca lunged at Kishley.
But, just in time, the guards stopped her.
"Don't get too cocky Monroe! Just because you're his cousin." Francesca struggled,
"I'll watch my actions next time." Kishley chuckled.
Just then, Chase came to the ground floor.
"Ma'am, the CEO is here." One of the guards pointed,
"I think that'll be my cue." Kishley checked her watch,
"Just in time," Chase said as Kishley walked to his side.
"I hate to break it to you, but your ex-fiancée has gone insane. I asked the guards to tackle her up." Kishley said,
"Who are you calling insane!!?" Francesca screamed as she fought with the three guards.
"Chase, she said you're breaking off our engagement. That's not true right? Tell me!" Francesca stumbled in front of him.
The workers of the company crowded over to see.
"Ms. Smith really has gone insane."
"Yeah, she even embarrassed herself in front of the CEO."
"I'd be embarrassed if I was her. I'd kill myself for doing that."
Chase glared, completely annoyed.
"Monroe, didn't I tell you to say it to her clearly?" He asked,
"I was pretty sure I told it to her loud and clear," Kishley murmured.
"Maybe you just whispered it to her Kishley. You always talk in a low tone." Michael laughed.
Kishley elbowed him in the stomach.
"It's not true right?" Francesca asked,
"Yes, it's true. Now can you get off?" Chase said flatly.
"NO! You can't do this to me! Chase, your uncle said we were to be wed!" Francesca choked and begged on her knees to Chase,
"Don't get me started with my uncle! This is my company and you are nothing to it! If you still don't believe me then I'll say this one last time. I am BREAKING OFF THE ENGAGEMENT and WE'RE OFF." Chase said sternly.
"But, Chase. The deal-"
"Is off! Tell my uncle and your father, I AM DONE!" Chase snapped.
"Chase." Francesca sobbed and began to cling to his knee,
"Get off me!" Chase struggled.
"I won't get off until you change your mind! You can't do this to me!" Francesca sobbed hardly at his feet.
Chase met Kishley's eye and signaled her to do something.
"Guards! Get this woman away from the CEO and ditch her outside even if you have to be rough!" Kishley ordered.
The guards however were unsure what to do.
"But ma'am she's from the Smith family." One ceased,
"So? Who cares? I said, GET HER OFF HIS LEG AND DITCH HER OUTSIDE OR I WILL DITCH YOU OFF!" Kishley barked.
Scared, they pulled Francesca off Chase's feet and ditched her outside.
