Bab 27: Chapter 27

Everyone gathered as Shannon bragged about her victory.
"So how are you going to celebrate?" Nora asked,
"Hmm. My daddy is going to throw a party at my place to celebrate, and I'll invite everyone!" Shannon announced.
"When?" someone asked,
"This afternoon of course!"
Everyone gasped with excitement.

"So, tell me about your family," Nora asked as they walked out of the campus,
"Well, where should I start?" Shannon thinks.
"Oh! My daddy is a very powerful businessman." She clapped her hands.
Shannon doesn't have any idea of Simeon's social status and job.
All she knows is that he is someone powerful.
Without thinking, she bragged about how Simeon loved her and spoiled her rotten.
"He even bought me a dress from Sigma Design Co." She giggled.
Deep down she was hoping she'd make Nora jealous and wanted to praise her.
Instead, Nora only nodded.
"So, do you have any dress that compares mine?" Shannon asked with a grin,
"Yep. I have one." Nora nodded.
Almost angry, Shannon bragged about what she had seen in Amanda's closet.
"Actually, I have a lot of them in my closet at home. My friend Vidia gave me a lot. Some of them are completely overworn. Maybe you can have it,"
"No, thank you!" Nora only grinned and pointed,
"I think your father's here,"

Inside the car, Shannon quickly asked Simeon,
"Dad, why don't you tell my friend about the dress you bought me?"
As Simeon explained everything, Shannon also added some details about the dress like,
how fine the cloth is, and how beautiful rare jewels were decorated around it.
She talked nonstop until they arrived.
After hearing Shannon, Nora changed her mind about being her friend.
When they met 2 years ago, Shannon was like, very kind.
She was innocent, nice to others, and even helpful.
She was always bullied by Victoria and her gang.
But now, she was acting like Victoria.
Being mean, selfish, and even bullying others.
At least Victoria doesn't brag about her wealth and family.
Shannon's way worse.
Nora started to think, maybe Victoria is even better than her.

Many of Shannon's schoolmates arrived early.
Instead of greeting them, Shannon only explained everything about their fortune.
This made some of the students uncomfortable.
Sabrina then approached to welcome them.
Liam and Jason on the other hand only sat in the living room without saying anything.
"Hey, Liam! I'm glad you came!" Shannon grinned as she offered them a glass of beverage.
They politely thanked her.
After a while, Nora asked where her room is.
This made Shannon remember something.
"Oh, I forgot!" She then grabbed Liam's hand to show him 'her room'.
"My room is located on the uppermost floor. It is one of the most exquisite among all the rooms here," She explained about the details as the four of them walked up to the stairs.
Jason, interested, asked,
"Can you show it to us?"
Shannon nodded.
