Bab 18: Supernatural World.
"Excuse me." She said as she stepped inside the room, and almost immediately, she could sense massive amounts of power pulsing in waves coming from her left side. From the unique mana signature, she was able to sense it could be a Fallen Angel or Stray devil from the chaotic demonic energy, and both energies seemed to be fighting together, not at all in sync.
Fallen Angels are beings who have 'fallen' from going against their principles and, most of all, fall because of lust, whether the lust is power, pleasure, or even freedom.
'I should inform this Lucifer-sama. We don't want Nebiros incident happening again.' Grayfia noted to herself.
"Please take a seat," Kaida said as he took his seat, whereas 'Dany' stood next to him like a dutiful maid.
"No, thank you." She replied. She didn't plan to get all cozy-cozy with them. Her arrival was mainly for intimidation and to find out the threat level of her opponents -Kaida and 'Dany.'
There was a sudden awkward silence in the air as Kadio started at her while holding back his irritation, and she can clearly see her answer brought them a displeasure.
"Ahem," Grayfia cleaned her throat and continued, "I am here to discuss the incident with the fallen angel, and as well as the sudden arrival of... "
"Targaryen, Daenerys Targaryen."
Grayfia raised a brow at the foreign name, but nodded her head, and continued, "Are you two aware of the supernatural world?"
Seeing them shake their head, she was unsurprised, after all, she had done her background check on Kaida Fukumoto, and knew that just last. a week before, he was just a student. Though that changes now; platinum blonde hair matching the woman next to him, increased muscles all over his body, and finally, a somewhat good-looking face. There were not present last week, and with the unique dragon aura, she guessed the sacred gear which was recently awakened is dragon type, and very powerful.
Soon Grayfia patiently explained to them about the supernatural world without going into detail, and during the explanation, she didn't shy away from asking questions to update the threat level of the one dragon and the sacred gear holder in front of him.
Throughout her time, other than the unique dragon(Dany) whose power level is almost impossible to sense, Grayfia was impressed at Kaida's potential. To make the Queen of Destruction, the Strongest Queen, impressed is a feat even among the pureblood devils.
After finishing the explanation of what the supernatural world is, and how things work, Kaida finally said, "So you are saying not only am I a target by the Sacred Gear hunter who will do anything for a powerful dragon type, spoiled pure brats from Devil faction who will force me into a peerage, and even angel for my powerful holy properties? And the town's magical enchants are the only thing protecting me. Not only that, but you are asking Dany to register her powers and identity just because she is magical?"
To say even without hearing Kaida's raising voice, it was clear he was angry just by looking at his face. He was just angry at himself, but he also held some anger towards the leader of this town who didn't keep an eye on the Fallen Angel, but also angry at the Supernatural world, which only cared about power. It is not like he isn't the same.
That is a different story.
Grayfia, with her eyes glimmering with amusement, replied, "It's a fact that your presence is not only causing problems to this town but also gathering a large amount of rebel fallen angels, as well as a stray devil which will attract to your power."
"Then we will leave."
Just that simple sentence made Grayfia's heart tremble; she had studied his school history and had even looked inside the mind of the girl, 'Itami,' to get a sense of Kaida's personality. With such information, she took the risk, but hearing his answer, with no sense of fear, made her lips twitch. Especially now learning Kaida's potential, it would be a punch in the gut to lose him so easily.
A devil with holy sacred gear will definitely cause ripples in the balance of the supernatural world. She would be sure it wouldn't take Kaida very long to break through the High-Class devil, and not like Rias who just had High-Class demon power, but instead a complete High-Class devil, with potential surpassing hers.
"You do realize once you leave the town, not only the devil faction will come after you, even the other factions like Norse, Shinto, Hindu, and even the terrorist group called Khaos Brigade, will come after you. How long will you play cat and mouse, before you will be forcibly serving under them?"
Kaida scoffed. "Like you aren't trying to do the same." Narrowing his eyes, he continued, "I am no idiot, Lucifuge-san, I can clearly see you want me in the town, and slowly try to bring me to your faction. Let me tell you this, I serve no one."
Grayfia raised a brow. What did she ever expect? That he should be charmed by her beauty and join her faction?
No, she had no hope for that, especially not after seeing a woman whose beauty is surpassing hers, as a maid.
"I never said about you serving under anyone, Fukomoto-san. I am merely suggesting the pros and cons of your current predicament. If you are stubborn and choose to stay here, more than likely, you will soon find yourself trapped in a fight where everyone is aiming to kill you," Grayfia warned, glaring at Kaida, though still smiling sweetly. "Even worse, if you decide to escape, how far will you go? Wouldn't it be better to work with us instead of facing enemies out there alone?"
Kaida smirked back. "So what, you'll kill me if I say no then?"
"Kill...?" Grayfia tilted her head. "Why would I need to use any dirty methods like killing?"
Kaida gave a snort. "Oh really. I'm sorry, please enlighten me then. Why won't you simply let me live freely?"
The silver-haired queen narrowed her eyes, not knowing the reason why Kaida was being rebellious and acting like that. She had explained the peerage system and even mentioned what benefits one would get after they became a High-Class Devil, earning a peerage of their own if you are within the good grace of Satan. So from where did this meek boy gain such arrogance?
'From the women next to him?' Grayfia wondered.
"Thank you for coming her and gracefully explaining everything. But I am sorry to say, Dany will not register anywhere, and if the town leader still feels troubled, we are more than happy to leave." Kaida wouldn't speak with such arrange so casually without being sure of his opponent's plans. Even if he had the power to fight back, he isn't the guy to behave a young master, but his mind was in an utter mess, learning the politics of the supernatural world.
For unknown reasons, this information didn't overwhelm him much, it merely caused him a slight headache.
"Excuse me," Grayfia said, disappearing into a magical circle.
"We are leaving this house, Dany. I am sure she had already placed some sort of tracking or surveillance around our house. It is best we find a new house. And tell me, did you learn anything?" Kaida asked, knowing the ability Dany possessed.
A sly smile crept upon her face.
"I got some interesting information from her. Apparently, her husband is no other than Sirzechs Lucifer, who considered you a big threat. There was an incident where an entire clan was massacred for some experiments..."

"Sigh... Coming back here sometimes can be so depressing~" Kiada sighed, feeling already sad for leaving Dany, who had shared her feeling for him.
"So, what is the goal today?"
Turning to his right, he saw Azalea waiting patiently at the Third Church of Marika, their new hideout. A slight smile blossomed on his face, seeing the progress of the subordinate.
"I felt I have been talking a little slow. Today we are going to get OP!"
Azalea shook her head, not even bothering to ask where was his usual broodiness or the reason for the sudden. Instead, she simply smiled, nodding her approval.
"Alright! Let's head to Caelid. There is a moaning dragon that needs to be put to rest."
Kaida didn't start heading to his destination, he made a quick stop at Abandoned Cave, which was filled with Sacrelt Rot, with two knights resting inside.
Glancing at the exploding diarrhea of Scarlet Rot, which filled the cave, a groan escaped his lips. Not one of the liquids was highly toxic, it was boiling, realizing explosive buddles, even making the air around inside toxic.
"This is going to be a pain in the ass... literally."
Turning to his right, he saw an aloof blonde, still clad in dirt nun robes.
"Ahem..." Kaida cleared his throat, pushing down the embarrassment, "Azalea. Why don't you head towards the Golden Fog? While Narcissa and I explore the cave?"
With a quick shrug, Azalea jumped down, but instead of screaming or death, she casually made her way through the toxic-infested cave. This made Kaida, who was already aware of her unique ability to be immune to all kinds of poison, Sarcelt Rot, and even bleed, curse in jealousy.
"You will carry me without questions. I want complete silence, and you will follow my complete orders."
Kadia looked at the confused Narcissa, which made him even more embarrassed as Narcissa was basically a corpse only moving with his will implated inside.
'I shouldn't have sent Doyle to Rune framing,' With his unlimited stamina, Kaida liked seeing Doyle rune farming, as with his Blood Magic, he can always mend the body, thus bringing him to a perfect state.
Finally, with another groan, he climbed on the back of her. Sacrelt Rot is a special kind of toxic that only affect living matter. The mental around the cave wasn't melted, not even the corpse, which was already dead. Making it only affects the living for a unique reason.
"Go there..."

"You didn't tell me you were immune to Scarlet Rot." Kaida, with his hand, crossed his chest, glared at the girl like she was a demon. As if she was the devil itself. The words that left his mouth made him cringe, though.
"That's because you never asked."
Kaida grumbled under his breath, staying in Elden Ring, already making his previous lively mood back to his broodiness. A land where death is just another part of the day, no wonder why he's so annoyed by this world.
"Let's crack on with it."
Passing through the golden fog, Kaida was immediately greeted by a Cleanrot Knight, clad in golden armor, similar to what Malenia, but brandishing a spear instead.
Lightning began to dance around his plan which brought the attention of the knight resting on the ground, causing their eyes to meet.
"Lightning Spear," a thundering sound stuck, and immediately a spear of lightning flew out of his hands to pierce the knight.
'Black Flames" Kiada's Uchigatana immediately lit up in ominous flames as he bolted towards the knight and stabbed the man in his stomach.
As soon as the enemy's blood dripped onto his sword, as soon the blade instantly turned red, Kaida leaned back, as holy manifested spears manifested underneath him.
'Half of the hp taken just like that?' Kaida could see in the corner of his another Cleanrot knight making his way toward him, but unlike the one he was fighting, it was holding a sword and a sickle.
Not wanting to get overwhelmed by this closed spear, Kaida took a deep breath, calming his mind of all unnecessary thoughts. Instantly a wave of potent energy began to pulse toward his beating chest. Even the pressure around him changed, making the knights stop in their tracks.
With his eyes turning red-slitted, Kaida learned forwards as his hand traced over blood over his sword.
"Oh, come on now. You will be the first one to experience my new moves~"
As the knight with the spear launched towards him, Kadia crouched down as the spear went over his head. With the blood in his hand and mana flowing through his bond, he murmured, "Bloody Slash."
The blood on the blade coated his blade, and a powerful blood slash was unleashed in a wide arch, which was followed by the sound of the flesh and the sliced-up body of the knight on the ground.
"One down, one more to go," Kaida murmured, bending his head as the discs of holy over his head.

"Not bad, Tarnished. Not bad..."
Kaida grinned, hearing Azalea, who had overlooked the fight in the corner.
"It might be just possible to make a king out of you yet."
"Oh my, is the emo-assassin finally made a joke? Woah... The world is ending~" Kadia said with a blade tone and with no expression on his face.
"Right... So what now?" Azalea asked, ignoring her disrespectful disciple.
"Now we head towards Fort Faroth," Kaida said as he was fixing the bodies of the two knights.
Azalea frowned, looking a bit confused. "But if I may ask, why are we going to a fort which has been infested with dragons?"
With a twisted smile, Kaida tilted his head, "For EXP, of course!"
