Bab 274: Meal Delivery

Luo Ying nodded. She was famished. "Do you happen to have any porridge lying about?"

The cook confirmed, "Yes, Mr. Lu instructed me to prepare some millet porridge."

"Then I'll have one. There's no need for lunch." Luo Ying wanted to eat something light.

The cook agreed immediately and quickly set the late breakfast on the table.

Luo Ying sat at the table and began slowly eating her porridge.

She was looking into the kitchen, where the cook was apparently hard at work.

"Are you still preparing lunch?" Luo Ying asked curiously.

"Yes, I have to bring Mr. Lu lunch at noon." The cook rapidly chopped at some vegetables. "Mr. Lu's digestion has been under the weather as of late, so he requires a strict diet."

The cook had been in the business for quite some time and had worked for several affluent households. Generally, such information was private and confidential.

However, Miss Luo was clearly very important to this man.
