This time, Medusa did not listen to Adam as she activated the injection of the antidote.

Soon, the blackish veins seemed to vanish slowly as the antidote was administered. The pain that had threatened to take over his mind calmed down and he was able to think a little more clearly.

A bleak laugh escaped from his lips and his head was pounding so much that he could hardly think.

Medusa studied the information on her computer. Adam had nearly reached the point of no return. Had she not intervened he would have died here.

A few seconds passed like this as Adam slowly gathered back his breath before focusing on the light of the ceiling.

"Thankfully, you have seen the light. If you really want to train your resistance, I can —"
