But the charge of dozens, or perhaps a hundred people, the combat between a few tanks and pickups, did produce a brutal battle.

Such fights, where a squad-sized force insists on fighting to the last man without retreating, are very rare.

What was ostensibly just an attack at the battalion or company level, and only a probing one at that, turned into an all-or-nothing fight. This kind of battle is not just rare; it shouldn't happen at all.

The pickups started to move quickly, relying solely on mobility and powerful offensive capabilities to contend with the enemy's tanks, as they lacked any armor.

Both the Challenger-2 and the Leclerc have advanced fire control systems capable of shooting on the move, and these tanks can definitely hit a moving pickup.
