Bab 1: Awakening

Knowing and understanding are related concepts that are sometimes misunderstood to mean the same thing, it is until a few key points in time that one learns to distinguish between the two just like I have.
Living in a society with superpowers, I have always known that weakness was sin and have always 'understood' this. It wasn't until I have experienced weakness that I truly understood that indeed weakness was a SIN.
Now I naturally understand why experience is said to be the best teacher.
That moment and experience of weakness shall forever be engraved in my soul as I seek power to be the strongest of them all, the peak, the zenith of all. It is that experience of weakness and loss that shall forever fuel my desire for power.
Today would be the day that I awaken my own superpower though I am a little worried I am sure that it wouldn't be too bad since I was born a CROWN.
Crowns are people with or without superpowers that are born bearing a [TRAIT] that suitably compliments their superpowers. Extremely powerful superpowers tend to possess taxing limitations on an awakened and that's were Traits come in.
But not everyone could bear a TRAIT, only 1 in billions of people could possess it.
Therefore, Crowns normally are used to predict that said individual's superpower to be SS grade and above.
What I desire is much more, what I wish for is the candidacy for REINCARNATION as the only thing now that could lessen my chances would be the grade of my awakened superpower.
Nevertheless, I Fritz Monad shall become the strongest of all.

A hundred years ago Earth underwent major changes due to a massive explosion that was termed the Big Bang, resulting in the appearance of dungeons and dimensional portals out of nowhere bringing monsters that raided, destroyed, killed and unleashed massive destruction on Earth.
Later appeared Dimensional Gates inhabited by foreign races that threatened world invasion weren't it for the World Protection Barrier humans might have been extinct by now.
But, hope was never lost as humans with superpowers were born that fought back and repelled the monsters resulting in the current society where everyone had the opportunity to awaken at the age of 15.
There are different types of superpowers that can be awakened with their levels ranging from low to high. Superpowers are graded from D to SSS with rumored greater levels, they are even categorized into various groups respective of their functionality being Auxiliary, Support and Combat.
One thing that has always puzzled awakeners was that contrary to their expectations that superpowers may start from F to SSS they have never encountered anyone with a superpower lesser than D. Through thorough investigations it was found out that indeed it was supposed to be so but they all attributed the change to the Big Bang.
"Hello everyone! Today we commemorate the 100th awakening ceremony. This year's awakening ceremony is special as all 15-year old's across Earth are here to awaken at Sun City. It is special because this year is the 10th Reincarnation year that occurs after every 10 years and probably the last of its kind."
"I won't go deeper into other details but I wish you all the best and may the people that I shall call their names please come forward to undergo your awakening."
Standing on a high platform, was an old man with a long white beard which he gently stroked from time to time, his name was Baron Gold an SSS rank expert.
His awakened superpower was grade A.
With Baron calling out names for people to enter the Awakening area, Fritz's name was called out too as he swiftly made way to a nearby Awakening Orb when he came to a halt looking at the highest and most central building for a second, after a light shrug he continued walking.
'How weird I felt a deep gaze from that place but it quickly disappeared.'
But what he didn't know was that indeed there were people observing him.
Deep inside one of the most exclusive and central buildings of the Global Awakening Centre laid the figure of an elegant yet majestic woman seated atop a purple throne whom to her left was a robust figure of a middle aged man standing respectfully beside her.
The woman's eyes sparkled with curiosity seeing Fritz's reaction, "Ooh! How sensitive; his spiritual power is quite amazing."
"How have things being between the two of you?"
"Nothing has changed, everything is still the same Empress" the man replied in a remorseful tone accompanied by a slight sigh. Even as he replied he always maintained a subservient attitude towards the woman who tinges of starlight occasionally danced around.
If anyone heard the man's reply they would have been utterly shocked because on Earth only a single person could be addressed as Empress. No one was allowed to inherit the title of Empress as a sign of respect to this very woman, because what she had done for humanity for the past 70 years was memorable and awe-inspiring.
"Don't worry too much about it, matters of the heart take time to heal. Has he told you what his TRAIT is or what color his Halo is?"
Any Crown has a light halo hovering above their heads invisible to the naked eye and can only be seen by special means or by the Crowns themselves. Crowns are divided from low to high by the color of their light halos; which is Red, Orange, Yellow, Gold and lastly Black.
The man blurted, "Empress do you mean…" but before he could finish she cut him off," Yes I can't see the color of his halo and judging from your reaction it seems that you don't know too. Anyway forget about it and lets just watch the ceremony."
"What's the situation over there? Any movement from those bastards?"
"There is no movement so far and how could they dare try anything with you in charge here Empress" he gave a bitter laugh. With a light snort she waved her hand for the man to retreat with her focus now diverging to the awakening ceremony.
Fritz swiftly arrived and placed his hand on the Awakening Orb, warm energy currents gently pulsed through his hand into his body. He bathed in its warmth as it nourished both his body and soul which after a few seconds was absorbed into his body.
Unconsciously an oppressively majestic aura emanated from Fritz enveloping the whole awakening center that shook everyone in the area. The pressure was so oppressive that most people were trembling if not their bodies dampened by cold sweat.
But before they could react to it, Fritz realized it and retracted the aura leaking from his body and chuckled gazing towards the flickering blue STATUS panel only accessible to awakened humans.
"Shit! What the heck was that?"
"Thank god it disappeared or else we would have knelt down in worship."
"Man I swear that pressure could have suffocated me to death."
Immediately the whole awakening center burst into commotion, everyone discussing animatedly what grade his superpower was, some even went on to claim that maybe an extremely powerful Senior passed by.
But Fritz ignored them as he quietly studied his Status panel.
[NAME: Fritz Monad Perseus]
[AGE: 15]
[RANK: -]
[SUPERPOWER (TABOO): OMNIARCH *]
[TRAIT (BLACK): ZIEL INFINITUM *]
"If you see the STATUS panel congratulations you have successfully awakened your superpower now please make way for other participants" exclaimed Baron dumbly still fazed by the power Fritz displayed.
He clearly felt it better, since he was nearest to him and bore the brunt of it head on, heck he could swear that he even heard his soul urging him to quickly kneel and pay respect to the youngster in front of him.
Baron wasn't the only one surprised by this display of power because there were two figures situated at the most pristine building awed just like him.
'Aah! Glorious.'
Fritz made way to join the awakened crowd waiting for the ceremonies ending.
The awakening ceremony came to an end and from time to time Fritz heard exclamations from the crowd and he knew that few people managed to awaken some amazing superpowers this time around.

Whilst still studying his superpower he suddenly felt warm only to come to a realization that he was enveloped by brilliant golden light and not only was it him but there were nine other people. The brilliant golden light formed ten massive pillars that shot straight into the sky.
"Haha seems like I was worrying for nothing." beamed Fritz.
