The sudden news about Elara's disappearance sent a ripple of unease through the group. Nicholas and Zaratu exchanged tense glances, the realization dawning on them almost simultaneously.

"Elara," Nicholas murmured, his mind racing. "She was involved in coordinating the guards, wasn't she?"

"Yes," Zaratu confirmed. "She was responsible for assigning them to their patrol routes and checking on the residences, if she's gone missing now, it's highly suspicious."

Nicholas felt a sense of urgency creeping in. "We need to find her, if she's the traitor, she might have vital information about the enemy's plans and how they've been manipulating the guards' memories."

"Hell, she might have been the one manipulating them all this time!"

Lindar, who had been listening to the conversation, nodded. "I'll start searching for any trace of her, she can't have gone far if she's only now disappeared, I am only afraid that she has hidden her true strength from us."
