The Grand Elder smiled faintly. "No need for apologies, young lord, your caution is understandable, given the circumstances."

"However, I must ask, what brings you to the Dark Sun Empire, is there a specific reason for your presence here?"

Lyle glanced at Nicholas, silently communicating that they needed to be careful with their words. "We are on a journey, traveling back to the Empire, the Abyss was a part of our path, but we did not expect it to be so... eventful."

"As for your previous question, why the empire has done nothing to help us while we are being chased, well, it is a form of … a test."

"A test, huh?" The Grand Elder asked with a smirk.
