Bab 180: The Attack's Aftermath

"The blood trail stops here," John said as Carl stared around with a frown on his face. They had been following the trail the vampire left and even though Lyle had thrown blood to the sides a couple of times, it was easy for the two to split up and check both trails out before continuing to follow the real trail.

This time, however, there were multiple trails, each one longer than the fake trails Lyle had previously left, but the problem was that none of them continued forward, each one stopping after about 100 meters.

"Just like last time, it seems that his healing factor is quite powerful, perhaps that is a part of his ability?" John asked with a low voice as Carl nodded at him.

During their first battle against Lyle, they had only seen him use what they presumed to be a type of earth manipulation, but after thinking about it, the only thing that Lyle had done was create spikes out of the ground, it was simply too simple to be an ability.
