Looking over at Damien, she knew he was furious. Markus was spouting lies and everyone seemed to believe him. He, and her few friends, saw the unjust she was experiencing.

That alone was more than enough to steel her resolve to do what she had planned next. She looked back at Markus. He still maintained the same look on his face. A mask he had worn to hide his true intentions from the world.

Then, she looked to the elders. Elder Rosalie's expression betrayed her. The elder she-wolf truly cared for her from the shadows. Her look of concern was enough to let Safira know that someone amongst the elders truly looked out for her.

"Alpha Markus has spouted nothing but lies and I don't have the evidence to prove that. However I know deep down in my heart that I am innocent," Safira declared as she looked every single wolf in the eyes.
