This was clearly all new information to him. Things were not going the way he had hoped. Looking to the Council of Elders, Supreme Alpha Jake relaxed a little as he got up on his feet.

"Elders, I was not made aware of this information prior. May I ask the elders for some time to straighten out the details with Alpha Markus in private?"

Safira narrowed her eyes at the Supreme Alpha. She knew exactly where this was going. They were going to use the additional time to come up with a different strategy. She was sure of it.

It was clear that the Supreme Alpha wanted his daughter to be Damien's chosen mate. That was painfully clear. Safira was not about to let that happen. However, she was at the mercy of the elders. Looking up at them, at the scowl and disdain on their faces, she knew it would not be in her favor.

"Very well, Supreme Alpha. We will allow that."
