Bab 38: SON OF THE GOD

"Where the hell were you?" Selene asked as soon as she saw the man walk into his room, anger fuming over his whole body.

"I should be asking you that, damn it! Where the heck did you disappear?" 

"The man you asked me to handle had ten others on standby. I barely managed to get them off the crowd and he fucking shot me."

Selene shouted back because she was expecting Lucifer to talk nicely or thank her for doing what he asked. But as usual, his way of talking was disrespectful or more of himself and the situation. How naive was she to expect him to change overnight?

"He is alive or dead?"

She could clearly see the man was seeing red by then and showing Jamal to him would be so much fun for her. He would kill him on the spot, making way for her to do the same instead of holding back. She was about to do the same but what happened right then, made her lose her senses.
