after hearing that deep baritone her heart started to beat faster, turning around she hugged him as tight as she could ”Ronnie” she murmured, and he hugged her back burying his face in her smooth hair.

“I got your letter madi” he said with a certain edge in his voice,

“I don’t want to marry him just you Ronnie and I didn't kiss him back that day I swear.... Please..... Please let’s just just run away to somewhere they can't find us,”

He closed his eyes before answering “We can’t.” he loved her so much that he was ready to ignore all they rumors spreading about her and the duke, But he couldn’t run away with her.

When he saw them both in the garden he felt his heart break into a thousand pieces but he knew her better to conclude on anything. He wanted to hear her own side of the story but her getting engaged to the duke came as a big shock to him. He had stopped his voyage to Scotland after getting her letter and came here immediately to see her.
