Back in the inner chamber where the princes and princesses proceeded in the game of rings, Princess Mariah walked into their midst, her heart beating hard in her ribcage. She paused, seeing every royal taking glasses of brandy at the same time.

Prince Benedict, her husband looked up and then asked, "Why are you in a rush?"

The others stopped drinking and their gazes went over to Princess Emily.

She replied with no hesitation, "I...I saw a dead man in the lavatory."

Hearing that from her, they dropped their glasses on the table. Prince Gustav asked, "A dead man in a female lavatory?"

Princess Emily immediately answered, "No, in a male's."

Everyone's eyes turned to Prince Benedict, some taking glances at her at the same time.

They became awkwardly silent while Princess Mawdelyn being the talkative one stood up and walked over to her, "And what would a princess be doing in a male lavatory?"
