Bab 114: 114 – A Doll

I entered Ayre's room and found her sitting on the edge of the bed. At first, her eyes looked puffy, but with her shapeshifting skills, they returned to normal in no time.

"I apologize." I sighed and sat beside her.

She flashed a smile, but this time I knew it was fake.

"So, you already know I have to stay in this era to carry out my fate?" the shapeshifter general asked.

I closed my eyes. A hypothesis has been popping up in my head for a while. However, I didn't want to believe it, so I kept putting it aside.

Unfortunately, various things have emerged that make the hypothesis even more indisputable. From meeting Darren the smithy expert, to visiting Faye, who happened to be able to do necromancy.

And not only that. So many other things make it even more difficult for me to deny it.
