Bab 51: Meeting of Dons

In the dark, As wolves pack.

I called on the ancient spirits.

To place a curse on all who danced and wined

And filled the pack with the bones of their folks.

Before dawn, let their bones stay jawed up In the mouth of the Alpha.

"Open the door". Jack instructed the two guards who stood at the front of the door of the meeting room and they obeyed immediately.

"Miss Sophie" Jack called out to Sophie who stood in front of the door with her eyes shut. She didn't reply. She was probably putting herself together. He didn't call out to her again so as not to distract her.

After a while, she opened her eyes and looked at him intensely. Her face was plain and showed no emotion."I'm a bit scared Jack"

"You'll be fine miss Sophie. I'll be right behind you" Jack responded putting his arm on her shoulder to encourage her. Sophie took a deep breath before she stepped into the grand hall where the Dons were gathered.
