The second rule continued to uphold the Wolf Pack's tradition of honoring the strong; each Beta Wolf and Lead Wolf faced challenges from their subordinates every month, and a defeat would result in reduced benefits,

Three failures would result in the loss of their original status.

The victor, upon one victory would receive a reward, and after three victories would replace the defeated.

However, Beta Wolves and Lead Wolves could refuse any additional challenges after they had accepted three within a month.
