Bab 5: A Sudden Guest from Aldien
*Knock Knock*
'Son, Are you awake?'
'Yes mother, I'll be out on a minute.'
'After you Change, please come down at the Living room. There's someone here to meet you.'
'Okay mom!'
As I changed my clothes, I kept thinking who was it that wanted to meet me this early. I doubted it was one of the Businessmen that wanted to offer some contracts. So I hasten on changing and went down immediately.
After reaching the Living room, I saw my Mother sitting facing towards me, While two Girls were facing towards her, I could tell that It's an adult and a Kid seeing the back of their heads as they sat down infront of my mother.
'Son, Come here and take a sit. This is my friend and her daughter.'
'Hello, Everyone. It's nice to meet you, I am Luna Jeager. Son of Baron Luke and Wendy Jeager.' As I bowed infront of my mother's guests.
'Hello Luna, I am Diane Devon, And this is my daughter Hailey Devon. It's a pleasure meeting the son of my dearest old friend, Wendy.'
Now that I look at them, They have very pale white skin, Blonde golden hair, very long eyelashes and what's more surprising is their ears. Their ears are pointy, Are they Elves?!
'Hello Luna, I am Hailey Devon, You can call me Hailey.'
'Oh, Hi. You can also call me Luna.'
My mother explained to me what was happening, She told me that they are Elves from the Aldien Country. She was a Comrade of my mom when she was still at her teens as an Adventurer.
I didn't knew that my mother was an Adventurer before, I guess people really do hide their pasts.
So she told me that the Academy that I was about to enter was called Freedom Academy.
An Institution that doesn't discriminate other races that are eager to learn about knowledge, combat techniques, magic, and etc.
So far, mother explained how Freedom Academy works and It was also located at one of the Four main Cities of Erendale, The Winder City, Home of all the most Knowledgeable Individuals all around Erendale. Even the Teachers their are different, Some are humans, elves and even dwarves. A Free City in other words. Since Aldien and Emperium had great relationship after the War ended years ago.
So Mother told me that I'll be departing to Winder City along with Hailey who would also be enrolled at the same Academy as me.
Mrs. Diane thanked my mother for helping her pay the tuition fees for Hailey, Since they don't have really good status unlike ours.
But after our business bloomed, We didn't need to worry about money anymore. That's why my Mother, who was previously saved by diane when they were adventuring, tried to repay her by paying the Academy fees.
Ofcourse it still wasn't enough since It was my mother's life we're talking about.
One afternoon, When my mother was still an Adventurer alongside Hailey's mom, Diane.
They were a five man party, Diane who used to be a Female warrior, My mother who used to be an Archer, And other two more warriors along side one Mana user. When they ventured throughout below Aldien's forests, They encountered a large High orc that was covered in full plate armor.
That's when they fought with it and managed to defeat it by cooperating their skills with each other. But the only fact that they had forgotten was that Orcs don't roam around alone, They were always gathered around with alot Orc members.
That's when they noticed that they were completely surrounded by the time they finished defeating a single High Orc. Then time passed as they fought, One by one, Mother's comrades died infront of her. The mana user, The two male warriors died. After getting cornered, My mother was also the next one to die, But thanks to Diane's help, They managed to escape death's door. That's when my mother felt indebted towards Diane and wanted to repay her by any means.
So that's when my mom explained that Me and Hailey would be escorted towards Winder City, Since it'll take a week to travel there. Speaking of traveling, They don't have cars nor planes around here. What they only have are small boats that could carry less than five person along with some fishes. And carriages that are dragged by horses.
So Hailey and Diane stayed at our house before our departure the day after tomorrow.
Hailey and I had a small conversation, She was very beautiful in my eyes. I didn't think that such beauty would exist in a different world.
Elves are really known for their beautiful looks whether they are female or male.
Hailey told me that she had already awakened as a mana user. I was grateful for her, but also jealous about it since I didn't awaken. She showed me some of her Spells, She had very good aptitude for Wind Magic. That was her Main attribute as a mana user. Seeing her cast magic spells around the backyard made me really jealous.
So I asked Millis if she knows a method to awaken.
"Notice, There is a way."
'What!? So you're saying I can also awaken as a Mana user!?'
"Correct."
'So how!? Teach me! I want to be able to use Mana too!'
"Notice, Using mana may hinder the development of your Skills. Suggesting leaving the awakening aside."
'Sigh, I guess it can't be helped.'
"Notice, Creation Skill can also be used to Cast elemental magic."
'What do you mean? How can I cast Elemental magic with my Creation Skill?'
"Creation Skill has ten empty branch skills. You may add Elemental attributes to the branch Skills and produce it."
'What? Can you speak in a way that I may understand Millis?'
"....."
'Come on! Just help me out here If you're gonna speak like that.'
"Notice, Skill reorganization customizing.... Wind, Water, Fire and Earth elements are being added towards the Branch Skills. Added Successfully."
'Woah! Is it really done!? Now tell me how to use it!'
"Reach out your hand and visualize the element you want to produce."
As I reached out my hand I tried visualizing flames that were concentrated towards the tree infront of me. Before realizing, A surge of fire came out at the palm of my hand, And burst through the Targeted designation.
A loud boom occured when the flame I casted hit the Tree infront of me. Smokes were covering the entire area, sooner or later a loud creek was heard as the Tree fell down unto the ground.
"Notice, Visualizing complete. Fire Skill has been used."
'WOAH! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!'
Before I came to realize, Hailey was behind me and was entirely shocked at what she saw, While I was too excited about the flame attack I casted.
Mother and Diane rushed towards the backyard after hearing the loud sounds occured.
'Luna! What's going on!? Why is our backyard filled with smoke?'
'Umm, Umm....'
'Auntie, Luna casted fire magic and shot down the Tree.' As Hailey explained, well after all she saw everything.
'What!? You're a mana user luna!?' As both Mrs. Diane and my mother asked together.
'No, I'm not a mana user.'
'Yes Auntie, Mom, Luna isn't a mana user. I cannot sense any awakened mana coming from him. But I'm sure he casted fire magic since it came out from his hand.'
'How did you do it son? If your not a mana user then? How could you cast magic?'
So there was no point in hiding this to them since I already got caught. So I explained to my mother which How I had the Ability called Creation Skill.
I demonstrated it towards them, on how it works and how it doesn't. After explaining for several minutes my mother asked me if I also made curry with this Creation skill of mine. I didn't have the courage to lie towards my mother and nodded. That's when she smiled and was very proud of me for having such amazing talent.
Mrs. Diane was also surprised upon hearing my Unique abilities since anyone in this world hasn't yet been known for acquiring such abilities, like mine.
'So son, What can you make with your Creation Skill? Other than Curry and elemental attributes?'
'Hey, wait a minute Wendy. Can you make money with that Creation skill of yours!?'
I was stunned upon hearing Mrs. Diane's words, How come I didn't know about it, How come I didn't think of something like Creating money!? What the heck!? How can I be so dumb!?
After hearing Mrs. Diane's words, I tried making Gold Coin, And it went Successfully.
'WAHHHH! SON! YOU JUST MADE MONEY!?'
Mrs. Diane, Mother and Hailey were completely shocked after seeing me create a single gold coin.
'Tha--Tha---That's legal r-r-right!?' As Mrs. Diane spoke while muttering her words.
'Luna! You can also make money with your skills! Wow you're pretty awesome for someone like my age!'
'I didn't realize this, Thanks for telling me about it Mrs. Diane, If it wasn't for you I probably hadn't gotten the Idea of making money like this. Haha!' As I rubbed the back of my head while I spoke.
That's when I made alot of Gold coins and filled three buckets. I gave them one bucket each for their daily necessity. My mother and Mrs. Diane couldn't accept the Gold coins I gave them, But I insisted since Money here is really important.
'From now on, Don't call me Mrs. Diane okay? Call me Auntie. Got it Luna?'
'Yes, Mrs.--I mean Auntie.'
'Good! It's time for some celebration!'
After that we started buying food around the town, brought them back home. Cooked alot of meals and then my mother and auntie drank expensive wine. My Father came home after several hours, He noticed that we were celebrating and he wasn't included. So my mother told him about everything, about my creation skill, the fire magic and the gold coins. My father was speechless, He stood in awe as he opened his mouth. Then I used creation skill and produced a thousand gold coins infront of him. My father was so shocked upon seeing this. Then we continued partying all night after what we've discovered.
Before we headed to bed, My father accompanied me to my bedroom. Then he told me to keep my Creation ability a secret. Or it'll cause and disrupt the balance of Emperium. Since Money is everything here, The Gold coins that are being reproduced by each Country of erendale are limited per year. Only a thousand gold coins can be made each year within each countries. That's why if this Ability gets known to the entire Erendale, It'll might cause some war. And the most dangerous part is that I might get kidnapped by higher ranking people and use me to reproduce money for them.
I know that my father was only telling me this because he was worried what might happen to me. That's why I also told myself to not Make money like this. Since It'll be really troublesome if I get caught making money.
My father was just glad that I somehow obtained skills that are from out of this world's laws. Still, he didn't knew nor my mother that I got reborn here from a different world.
So my father left my room and I then slept comfortably.
The next day....
My mother also told me not to use my creation skill to make money, It might be really good but if I get too greedy It'll be bad for me. Auntie and Hailey agreed despite after receiving the Gold coins I gave them. I guess, not everyone from this world can be greedy.
We still had another day left before departing, Me and Hailey always went out and practiced Our abilities at the backyard of our house. Seeing her cast Wind magic gave me the chills. Her actions, Her display, Her aura. Everything I see about her really gives me the chills. Such Beauty, Even covered in sweat, Still so beautiful. Gahh! What the heck am I saying! Snap out of it Luna! You're still Ten years old, And hasn't hit puberty yet!
Time passed, I also practiced casting different types of Elemental magic. But all I could reproduce was the Basics of the elements. But the power was different, It was much stronger than any basic spells this world has ever seen, The destruction power of every Element I casted blew out my target. Even Hailey praised me, She even said that even her being a mana user. She can't do that much damage with just basic Elemental skills.
That's when I felt good, and thought of myself as a genius.
"Notice, It is thanks to the Creation Skill's branch."
'Gahh! What a killjoy!'
